The permits request the installation of new set designs and electrical work for the show that is expected to open in Winter 2025 in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The ride is replacing the recently closed It’s Tough To Be A Bug attraction.

That’s because March 16th marks the last day of showtimes for the long-running attraction before it permanently closes to make way for a brand-new Zootopia show. Disney filed a permit for work to be done at the Tree of Life in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which currently houses It’s Tough to Be a Bug.
The permit was filed on February 3rd, 2025, and is for work to be done by a contractor called Westbrook Service Corporation.
Huge changes are coming to Animal Kingdom!
DinoLand U.S.A. is being transformed into a Tropical Americas-themed land named Pueblo Esperanza and will include three brand new attractions! These attractions include an Encanto-themed attraction, a carousel, and an Indiana Jones-themed attraction. But it is not only DinoLand U.S.A. that is changing.
