Change is a fact of life at Disney theme parks. For better or worse, older attractions being replaced with newer ones has been part of the fabric of the parks since the first opening day Disneyland attractions closed less than a year into the park’s existence.

This kind of evolution is, once again for better or worse, is currently heavy in the air at the Magic Kingdom as Disney prepares to close the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island in order to replace them with a Cars-themed expansion. With that news in mind, we decided to poll our readers on the potential fate of another Magic Kingdom attraction: the Swiss Family Treehouse.

Our Disney-Loving Hearts Are Screaming About This Muppets News!

It’s time to breathe some life into a dead part of Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Listen, the food at PizzeRizzo may not be the best (it’s rat pizza, IYKYK), but the restaurant makes up for its subpar menu with charming decorations and hilarious Muppets easter eggs. But soon, this restaurant will be permanently closing to make way for a NEW Monsters, INC. land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. So, what better way to say goodbye than with a prom?

Will These Closures Make Disney’s Animal Kingdom A Half Day Park?

Animal Kingdom is changing. As Walt Disney World’s most recently opened theme park steams towards its 30th birthday in 2028, the park is set to receive its biggest addition since Pandora with the building of the Tropical Americas land, which will feature the fictional setting of Pueblo Esperanza, which will be home attractions based on the Encanto and Indiana Jones franchises. Furthermore, a new Zootopia show is coming to the park’s Tree of Life.

However, all of those additions are coming at a price. Tropical Americas will be replacing DinoLand, while the Zootopia show will be booting opening day stalwart It’s Tough To Be a Bug. All of which begs the question, is Animal Kingdom about to truly become a half-day park for a few years?

Cast Members are the MAGIC!

You may have noticed some Cast Members have gold pins on their name tags. These pins are service pins and indicate how long a Cast Member has worked for the Walt Disney Company. After one year, a Cast Member can earn their one-year pin, followed by their five-year pin, and so on every five years. Once a Cast Member reaches 10 years with the company, they are invited to a special party that only happens once a year.

When we visit Disney Springs, we’re on a mission. We’re there to see the hot new merchandise at the World of Disney Store. We’re there to snag a spot in line at Gideon’s Bakehouse. We’re there to enjoy a meal at Homecomin’. What’s the one store we tend to skip? Goofy’s Candy Company. Sorry, Goofy! But when there are so many AMAZING sweets and treats in Disney Springs, it’s easy to overlook this candy shop. Well, that’s about to change.

Disney World Summer Bookings Have INCREASED. Could Epic Universe Be the Reason?

Disney just recently had their 2025 Q1 earnings call and revealed how things have been for the company as a whole going into the first part of the new year.

While there were many questions surrounding future updates to Disney’s Lightning Lanes and how the integration of ESPN into its own streaming service is expected to work, Disney was also asked a question that’s on everyone’s mind. When asked about Universal’s upcoming theme park opening in just a few months, Disney seemed rather positive about its competition down the street and the effects it’s had on attendance in their parks.

NEWS: Disney Announces Plans for Lightning Lane Premier Pass, Confirms It Will “Build Over Time.”

Disney World recently launched a premium Lightning Lane pass that grants one-time entry into every Lightning Lane in a park for one price, eliminating the need to monitor Lightning Lane availability and make new reservations throughout the day. The Premier Pass also lets consumers simply show up at an attraction and enter the Lightning Lane (as opposed to booking a specific time), making it much easier to skip the lines in Disney World. This service comes at a premium price, though, ranging from about $129 per person to $449 per person.

While this service is still relatively new (launching back in October 2024), Disney has already announced changes and expanded the service. At Disney’s first fiscal quarter earnings call on February 5th, Disney CFO Hugh Johnston commented on the rollout of Lightning Lane Premier Pass. Johnston noted that Disney is still somewhat reserved about its Premier Pass but hopes to build this product up over time.
