Epic Universe is Universal Orlando’s newest theme park, and it is set to open on May 22nd, 2025. We cannot wait to step through each of the five portals into the worlds of Celestial Park, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Dark Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic, and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk. While we eagerly await for the park to open, here are four things to keep in mind before visiting.

We’ve scoped out the newest updates on the construction of the park and have already stayed in one of the newest Universal hotels to put us as close to the action as possible! And now, Epic Universe has officially been added to the Universal Orlando app!

While the new theme park does not open until May 22nd, teams are hard at work getting the park show ready for its first guests on opening day. To test out rides and attractions, Universal Orlando is hosting preview days for its Team Members as part of its Team Member-first culture!
Universal has BIG plans for the future of its theme parks. That includes the grand opening of its third theme park at Universal Orlando, Epic Universe.

Additionally, Universal is creating a theme park for kids and families in Texas called Universal Kids Resort. PLUS, Universal is opening a huge horror-themed attraction in Las Vegas (and tickets are on sale now). Well, we have a hint that Universal COULD be working on bringing something HUGE to its theme parks: Wicked. Yep, now that the movie is a bonafide hit, Universal could bring a permanent Wicked addition to its parks, according to comments made by Mark Woodbury, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Destinations & Experiences when speaking with the New York Times.
We’ve been eagerly awaiting more news about Universal Orlando’s new park coming in 2025 — Epic Universe — and now we’ve got some MAJOR updates!

The brand-new attraction will officially open on August 14th, 2025 in Las Vegas, and we can’t tell if we’re excited or terrified. It’s probably a little bit of both, to be honest.

Ever since news broke of Universal’s newest Orlando park and all of its themed worlds (and its delicious-looking eats) coming in 2025 we’ve been very busy gathering any and all updates as they’ve come.
