Universal Studios is building a brand-new theme park in Frisco, Texas and we just got a major update!

The Universal Kids Resort is a first-of-its-kind theme park designed for families of young kids, and it will feature lands themed around some iconic kids’ franchises including Shrek, Puss in Boots, Trolls, Gabby’s Dollhouse, SpongeBob SquarePants, Minions, and Jurassic World.
A new Universal Studios theme park is under construction in Frisco, Texas — but when will the gates officially open??

There’s a ton of new stuff in the works from Universal. Epic Universe is set to open in Orlando on May 22nd, 2025, a year-round horror attraction is expected to open later this year, AND a brand-new Universal theme park is being built in Frisco, Texas!
In case you didn’t know, Epic Universe isn’t the only new project that Universal is working on.
