Beginning on May 7th, 2025, anyone flying in the United States will need to provide a REAL ID as part of the check-in process before boarding their flight. REAL IDs are state-issued driver’s licenses and identification cards that meet the federal REAL ID security standards.

Well, that’s certainly happening today, with over 400 flights currently delayed at Orlando International Airport, with over 50 canceled flights.
The Transportation Security Administration, better known as the TSA, found fewer firearms in passengers’ carry-on luggage in 2024.

The TSA officers in Orlando found 150 firearms in passengers’ baggage in 2024 compared to the 164 found the previous year. The entire state of Florida also saw a decrease across all airports of firearms found.
