It’s that time of year again, DFB friends, and we’re SO ready!
We’re live right now from the Swan & Dolphin Food and Wine Classic at Disney World where we can’t wait to try some amazing dishes. Come with us to check it all out!
There are so many restaurants around Disney World that it can be a challenge to decide where to eat.
While some restaurants are so iconic they can be tough to get reservations for, there are gems hidden around Disney World that you might not even realize are worth checking out. The Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort is home to some of our favorite dining experiences, from the Food and Wine Classic to restaurants like Todd English’s bluezoo and Rosa Mexicano, but you have to leave the parks to try them. Just outside of EPCOT — inside the Dolphin — The Fountain is an unassuming spot with classic American fare like milkshakes and burgers. We stopped by for lunch recently to check it out — keep reading for our full review!
Yes, there is ANOTHER Food & Wine Festival that you might not know about at Disney World. Some may argue it’s even better than the one at EPCOT.
The Dolphin Resort
The Swan & Dolphin Food & Wine Classic takes place on Friday, November 10th, and Saturday, November 11th, 2023. The event will run from 5:30-9 PM on both days and will be full of incredible eats, inventive drinks, entertainment, and more. Wondering just what sort of dishes will be available this year? We got a sneak peek on what to expect.
Fall is an exciting time to indulge in different foods, and a great place to do that is EPCOT!
And… right next to EPCOT. Sure, we all know about the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival where you can snag different small bites from the seasonal booths scattered throughout the park. However, a lesser-known fall food event takes place outside of EPCOT but just nearby — at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel.
We know we’re telling you about all the changes that happen in Disney World ALL the time, but nothing changes more than the FOOD in Disney World.
But, hey, that’s exciting, right? We even got to try CHEESE in ice cream recently, thanks to some new flavors at Salt & Straw (and we are forever grateful). Of course, we’re starting to see even MORE spooky treats pop up in Disney World for Halloween season — and we’ll tell you all about those, too. But now, we’re going to talk about restaurant menu updates because we had quite a few that happened this week.
It’s been a HUGE week for food in Disney World.
First, we have to talk about ALL THE NEW FALL Starbucks drinks that arrived this week (and we’ll get to that). We also visited Casey’s Corner, one of our fave counter service restaurants, and ate EVERYTHING there. We also ate a hotdog with a boozy shake (#sorrynotsorry). In the meantime, though, Disney World restaurant menus were changing, so let’s see what’s been updated!
It’s been a VERY exciting week in Disney World when it comes to food.
A brand new restaurant surprised us and opened early in EPCOT (and we ate a $300 sushi boat with ZERO regrets). The way you book dining on the Disney World website and My Disney Experience app has changed (and we think, it’s for the better). More EPCOT Food and Wine food booths opened, too! PLUS we saw some updates on Disney World restaurant menus, so let’s talk about those.
When we talk about the best Disney World hotels, many people think of places like Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort or Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. They’re the old classics! But there is one hotel right smack in the middle of the action that no one EVER seems to talk about — so we’re here to remind you that it exists, and it deserves some attention.
Disney’s BoardWalk
Oh, and guess what? Technically, it’s not even a Disney World Hotel. It might not be the first hotel that pops into your mind when we say “best Disney World resorts,” but there’s one SURPRISING reason you should totally check this place out.
From one day to the next, Disney World is changing.
We’ve recently seen quite a few updates come to Disney Springs, especially when it comes to retail stores moving or closing altogether. But, over near EPCOT, another store appears to have closed — for good.
We’ve had a LOT of Disney food news to take in this week.
From the closing of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser to the big employee move to Florida being canceled, Disney has experienced a busy week. But we’re still also visiting the parks every day and keeping an eye out for new food, as well as seeing if any restaurant menus have changed. So let’s get to those menu updates, shall we?
