It’s my job to go to EPCOT. Yes, REALLY!
I go to EPCOT a LOT for my job.
For my job as a Disney World Reporter, I spend quite a bit of time in the theme parks, especially in EPCOT (I am the mayor of the tiny train town, after all). And let’s be real, that park can get pretty swampy and scorchy during the summertime. So today, I’m sharing the list of places where I hide in EPCOT when it’s just too dang hot. Come sweat with me!
It’s been another great week in Disney World.
Pimento Cheese Fritters from River Roost
We got to see the Disney Dreamers Academy parade (which only happens once a year). We drank a VERY cool cocktail at The Polite Pig in Disney Springs. We even learned about some new character experiences coming to Disney World. However, we also kept an eye on Disney World restaurant menus, and yep, we’ve got some changes and updates to tell you about this week.
First off, there seems to be something going on with peel-and-eat shrimp! We have seen it removed from 3 menus in March — at Sebastian’s Bistro, Garden Grill, and last week at Akershus. This could be a supply chain or food cost issue, or maybe it is losing popularity? We’re not sure, but read on for more recent menu changes!

That includes a new treat from The Cake Bake Shop, getting ready to eat ALL the Easter snacks that will be hitting Disney World soon, revisiting one of our favorite restaurants in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and trying three Disney Springs restaurants AT ONCE (because that’s how we roll). We also kept an eye on Disney World restaurant menus this week, and we’ve got some changes to report.
One month ends and another month begins, and we are READY for March in Disney World.

March means the start of the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival, and you know what that means — a LOT more food for us to enjoy and review. But we’ll also still be visiting Disney World restaurants when we get the chance (we just ate our way around THREE Disney Springs restaurants this week). Okay, so it is like a HUGE week for food in Disney World because the EPCOT Festival of the Arts has officially kicked off. We were there on DAY ONE to check out everything the festival has to offer, including all the food booths (we ate so much, y’all have no idea). But there’s more happening in the Disney World food world, too, because we’ve also got some restaurant menu changes to get you updated on.
Happy New Year! It’s 2025, and a LOT of exciting things are coming to Disney World this year.

We’ve got new shows, a new nighttime parade, new lands beginning construction, and SO MUCH MORE to look forward to. We’ve even got a few new dining spots, including a Pirates of the Caribbean tavern and a Spaceship Earth lounge. However, now that the New Year has started, Disney World has been busy adjusting some of its existing restaurant menus, so let’s see what’s changed this week.

We’ve been eating and drinking our way around EPCOT this week
That’s because the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays has officially kicked off and have spent the past few days eating and drinking our way around this year’s food booths. Let’s just say we also ate a lot of cookies and enjoyed the first Candlelight Processional of the year where we got to see the voice of Olaf himself, Josh Gad, (who also voiced Le Fou in the live-action Beauty and the Beast) narrate the Christmas story. However, Disney World restaurants still had a few changes this week, so we’re going to tell you all about them between bites of cookie.
