We’ve got a major update on the potential train between Disney World and the Orlando International Airport.
Orlando International Airport
Recently, the Orlando City Council voted to approve $500,000 for a study on a potential expansion of the SunRail system to include stops at Orlando International Airport, the Universal Orlando Resort, the Orlando Convention Center, and Disney Springs. And, Universal Orlando has announced that they’re also ponying up some change for the study.
Ever since Disney World got rid of its complimentary Magical Express airport transportation service, fans have been searching for alternate ways to get to the resort.

When traveling from the airport, there are several different paid services you could take, and there was once talk of a Brightline rail station at Disney Springs, though that project was scrapped. But now, it turns out that the idea of a train station in Disney World might not be impossible.

We can’t wait for the new route to open, and after recently learning a bit more about the project’s opening timeline we’ve been no-so-patiently waiting for any update we can get. And now, the Orlando Brightline train expansion is one step closer to being complete.
Traveling to theme parks and throughout the greater Orlando area might be a whole lot easier — a whole lot sooner.
Brightline Terminal C Train Construction
We’ve been keeping a close eye on the Brightline train being built to connect Orlando and South Florida, which at one point was slated to have a stop at Disney Springs. Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case, but a station is still coming to the Orlando Airport. We hadn’t heard much about when this line will open for passenger service, but now we know more!
