It’s been just over four months since STK Orlando opened its doors in Disney Springs.
We visited STK for dinner on opening night in late May. It gave us the chance to try a few signature dishes that STK restaurants around the country are known for along with offerings unique to STK Orlando. (For those unfamiliar with STK, this high-end steakhouse has locations in New York, Atlanta, Chicago, London, and San Diego, among others.)
In its earliest days, the restaurant opened for dinner only at 5:00 pm daily. However, lunch service kicked off about a week after opening, and we thought we’d take a little time today to show you what’s on the menu for lunch at STK, in case you’re interested in trying out this signature restaurant with a more casual, daytime vibe.
If you read our first review of STK, then much about the first page of the Lunch menu will look familiar to you.
It features several dishes that are also featured on the evening menu like the Florida Grouper (unique to the Orlando location). [Read more…]
If you are in Disney World or anywhere around the Orlando area on June 30, 2016, we would like you to know about Dine Out for #OrlandoUnited — a city and statewide event in which participating restaurants all across Orlando and the rest of Florida are helping to raise money to benefit the OneOrlando Fund supporting the victims of the recent tragedy at The Pulse, and their families.
Participating restaurants in Disney World include Morimoto Asia, Bongos Cuban Cafe, House of Blues Orlando, Portobello, Raglan Road, Splitsville Luxury Lanes, STK Orlando, T-Rex, Yak and Yeti and the Rainforest Cafe (both the Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs locations). Ravello and Capa at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World are also on the list. [Read more…]

Happy Sunday! We hope you’re having a relaxing weekend and enjoying summer! It’s time to sit back, relax, and catch up on all the recent Disney food news!
It was an another exciting week at Disney and we were able to check out more new dining spots including STK Orlando and Tiffins!
We have a lot to share with you this week, so let’s jump right in…
Last week we gave you a First Look…
… and now we’re back with our full review of STK Orlando, the newest dining venue in Disney Springs!
STK Orlando is the latest addition to the list of Signature Dining restaurants in Disney Springs, which also includes Morimoto Asia and The Boathouse (with Paddlefish and The Edison still on the way).
But STK hasn’t only joined the dining line-up in Disney World — the Orlando location also joins fellow STK restaurants in New York, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, and D.C., with more to come.
So let’s see how STK’s big city vibe fits into Disney World’s shopping, dining, and entertainment district with our first visit for dinner at STK Orlando!
If you checked out our First Look, you already know that STK Orlando is located in the The Landing of Disney Springs; however, the location is easily viewed from the area’s new Town Center. Here is the view as you approach from the Orange Parking Garage.
The exterior, therefore, fits right in while retaining its own unique look, with its resemblance to a refurbished train station from the early 1900s. [Read more…]
Happy Sunday and happy long weekend! As we mark a time of remembrance this Memorial Day weekend, we also hope you’re planning some celebrations with family and friends as summer is officially starting.
It was another exciting week for foodies at Walt Disney World as we celebrated the opening of AristoCrepes, Tiffins, the Nomad Lounge, and STK Orlando ! We had a chance to attend the preview night at STK and we’ll have a full review of our recent dinner there very soon!
There are just a couple more days left to enter new sweepstakes from Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea? You can win a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort as part of the 2nd Annual Magic in Your Mug Sweepstakes!
And finally, don’t forget about our Memorial Day sale — 40% off all items at the DFB Store!
We have a lot to share with you this week, so let’s jump right in…
We’re already back at Disney Springs to take a First Look at STK Orlando!
Now, you might be thinking, “Wait a minute, I thought STK Orlando wasn’t going to open until May 25th?” And if so, you are correct — the newest Signature Dining venue joining the ever-expanding options in Disney Springs doesn’t open to the public until this evening at 5:00 pm.
But the DFB was kindly invited to a Preview event that took place last night. So while we are looking forward to dining there tonight and to bringing you our full review of our first dinner at STK Orlando soon, we couldn’t wait to give you a little sneak peek now 🙂 .
So welcome to this First Look at STK Orlando!
Though technically situated in The Landing of Disney Springs, STK Orlando is still very much visible from the new Town Center in its spot near Morimoto Asia and Planet Hollywood. In fact, the building’s exterior — built to bear a resemblance to a refurbished train station — fits in nicely with the early-1900s-era inspired setting that is the Town Center.
No matter whether you’re outside of STK or inside, it’s impossible to not be struck by how MASSIVE this place is, coming in at nearly 15,000 square feet! [Read more…]
