Welcome to another roundup of What’s New in Epcot!
Obviously, the BIG NEWS is that the 2019 Food and Wine Festival began yesterday, but we also found some other new things along the way!

We gathered all the MAJOR announcements from throughout the 3-day convention here! There were lots of critical news items — like the new parade coming to Disneyland and updates on Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disneyland — but read on for the REALLY big stuff!
One of the most exciting announcements at the D23 Expo today has been the reveal of a “fresh new journey” for Epcot’s Future World, a journey that will transform the Park and tap into “the magic of possibility.”
Much of the original inspiration of Epcot will shine through in the new design, according to the announcement, and now we have more information on how Future World will be laid out. Get ready for three new “neighborhoods” in addition to World Showcase!
We’ve been waiting for a long time for updates on Epcot’s newest restaurant. And now, we have the official name!

Waaaaaaay back in November of 2018 we published a post here at DFB noting that Space 22o was the working name for the restaurant, and it’s finally been confirmed!
Today we visit Epcot to see What’s New in Future World, World Showcase, and (lots of!) merchandise! Journey with us!

Greetings from Epcot! Between enjoying the Flower and Garden Festival, seeing construction progress (on SO many projects), finding new paper straws, menu updates, and so much new merchandise… well, we were pretty busy!
Let’s start our update in the parking lot this week.
As Epcot’s Festival of the Arts prepares to close on February 25 signs the Flower and Garden Festival opening on March 6 are popping up! Our latest visit to Epcot saw some Flower and Garden food booths and topiaries being set up. But, that isn’t all, we also saw some construction progress, new merchandise, and some awesome chalk art!
We’ll start out with some Festival of the Arts chalk art — and deals!
Our weekly visit to Epcot includes a bunch of construction updates — including seeing part of the track for the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride!
The Guardians of the Galaxy ride isn’t the only thing going on Epcot right now, there’s also the addition of the Ratatouille Ride in the France Pavilion, TWO brand new restaurants, prep work for the new nighttime show, and more must-have merchandise!
This year is going to be BIG for the Disney Parks. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
is opening at Walt Disney World on August 29 and at Disneyland on May 31. Plus the all-new Skyliner transportation system will begin operating at Walt Disney World in the summer or fall! But that’s not all…
Just like Hollywood Studios, there are lots of exciting things coming to Epcot in the near future! Between two new attractions, the Skyliner, Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, and two new table service restaurants, we have more than a few updates for you this week.
