It’s the middle of April in Disney World and spring is officially here and, before we know it, it will be summer.
We’ve spent some time with some new snacks this week, though, including our new favorite pretzel snack in EPCOT, some new menu items at Sci Fi Dine-In at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and more. We’re also excited about the news that a NEW celebrity chef-owned restaurant is coming soon. We also noticed some menu changes to other Disney World restaurants, so let’s take a look at those.
Happy April, DFB Readers! It’s hard to believe that March went by so quickly, but here we are.
This week was a BIG one in Disney World, at least for food. Not only did Gideon’s Bakehouse announce a new menu, BUT we got eight new food and drinks at Disney’s Pop Century Resort (and yes, be looking for those reviews coming soon). However, those aren’t the only restaurant changes we spotted in Disney World this week. We’ve also got some other restaurant menu updates to tell you about.
Magic Kingdom is known for many things — a magical atmosphere, the iconic Cinderella Castle, nostalgic attractions, and so much more.
However, it’s also unfortunately known for being the weakest park when it comes to dining options around the resort. You’ll find decent food here, but nothing that will really blow your socks off (with the exception of Skipper Canteen, we love you Skipper Canteen!), and you often may find yourself underwhelmed with the different restaurants. We’ve gotta be honest though, there are a few things that make us cringe so bad we seriously think about turning around and choosing to eat at a different park entirely.
Did you know that Disney World hides secret menu items in their restaurants all the time?
Jungle Navigation Co., LTD Skipper Canteen
We’re suckers for scoping out the best new snack hacks, hidden restaurants and lounges, and occasional hidden menu items that you didn’t even suspect existed. One popular Magic Kingdom restaurant holds one of these secret menu items we’ve adored before, and we’ve dreamed of it so much since our last visit we HAD to return!
It’s been a busy week for Disney!
We got the Q3 2024 financial results for the company and learned how the theme parks were doing. We’ve been to the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and ate a TON of party-exclusive snacks. We’ve also been checking menus at Disney World restaurants to see if anything has changed, and the answer is “yes!” So let’s take a look at which Disney World restaurants changed this week.
Are you planning a Disney World trip? If so, you’re probably getting a lot of advice from family, friends, and co-workers who have been there about things you ABSOLUTELY must-do.
That means you’re probably getting some dining recommendations, too, and yes, we bet that these are recommendations for the popular dining spots, those that EVERYONE talks about ALL the time. However, we’re going to tell you that just because a dining spot is popular does not mean that it’s the best. Now, we’ve eaten at every single restaurant in Disney World, and we’re going to tell you which reservations you should book instead.
We’ve already eaten a LOT of brand-new Disney Food so far this year, and you’re in the right place if you want to figure out the best of the best so far in 2024! Got your notepad ready? Here we go!
Banh Mi Burger
We may still be in the first half of 2024, but we’ve already tried so many EPIC eats throughout the Disney World scene. These savory, sweet, and downright UNIQUE options have stood out to us so much, in fact, that we figure you’d wanna add them to YOUR tasting itinerary for your upcoming vacation, as well! (That way, we can all bond over these tasty vacay foods together.) [Read more…]
It’s been another week in Disney World, and yes, we continue to eat our way through the entire resort (#sorrynotsorry).
We even recently came up with a super cheap snack hack. We also got all the details about the NEW snacks arriving in Disney World AND Disneyland in June. We even got more details about the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic (Disney World’s OTHER Food and Wine festival). However, we also saw some menus change at Disney World restauarants this week.
We’ve been having a great week here at DFB, especially with all the details we just got about Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (it’s never too early to get excited about Halloween, y’all).
However, we also spent some time eating a ton of hot dogs in Disney Springs (it’s for science, we swear!), figuring out how to get a Mango Pie with no wait, and revisiting Kona Cafe. We’ve also been keeping an eye on menus at Disney World restaurants, and BOY, they have changed this week.
