Disney World dropped a lot of news on us this past week!
This past week we got lots of information about the holidays at Disney World during Halfway to the Holidays, and we also got information about new changes coming to Disney World’s paid skip-the-line service. It feels like we finally just got Genie+ down after saying goodbye to the FastPass+ system, but now that is all about to change again on July 24th.
Changes are coming! And big ones at that. Disney World recently announced some HUGE changes to their skip-the-line service, and we have all the details.
Just when we felt like we might have been getting the hang of Genie+, Disney World goes and changes things up again. While there are a few similarities to the current Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane services, the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass are also introducing a lot of changes.
Things are CHANGING fast with Lightning Lanes.
Disney shocked the theme park world on June 25th by announcing a massive overhaul to their Genie+ skip-the-line system, which will go into effect on July 24th. Not only will the program’s name change — with terminology changing from Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass respectively — but the entire structure of how and when attractions are booked is different.
