That restaurant is Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya and it may be one of the most unique restaurants in Disney World. Here you can celebrate Japan’s many seasonal festivals with changing menu items and decor, as well as dine on a $300 sushi boat. ? But there’s something else that’s really special about this restaurant!

Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya is the latest restaurant to join the Disney scene and it offers an experience unlike anything else you’ve had in Disney World. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the Japan pavilion in EPCOT, is a table service location, and offers a “festive dining experience in a sharable Izakaya-style” (according to Disney) complete with sushi, all kinds of small dishes to enjoy, and an ever-changing experience that’ll celebrate different Japanese festivals each month. A NEW restaurant is coming to Disney World!

Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya is now OPEN at EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion, but just for walk-ins. Reservations are available for dates starting on August 28th, 2023 and we couldn’t be more excited to check it out. And now, we are one step closer to trying this new table service spot — dining reservations are open!
If you love sushi and EPCOT, you’re about to have a field day.

We learned recently that a new restaurant addition would be added to the Japan pavilion at EPCOT — an all-new sushi bar and grill called Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya. We knew that the restaurant would open at some point this summer, but Disney didn’t say exactly when… until now!
Wouldn’t it be nice if Disney had one clear, specific opening date for every new project and upcoming attraction? Wouldn’t it be simpler if there was just one official ribbon-cutting ceremony per attraction, then that attraction would open to the public? Well, for better or worse, that’s not always the way it goes in Disney World.

Thankfully, these changes can lead to exciting new experiences in the park, and Disney has shared that EPCOT would be getting just that this summer. Shiki-Sai Izakaya and Sushi is a table-service restaurant coming to the Japan pavilion, presenting a “festive dining experience in a sharable Izakaya-style.” We’ve been waiting for the news of its exact location since it has been announced, and now, we have a new clue about its potential whereabouts.
