One of the newest themed lands coming to a Disney park will be a Zootopia-themed land in Shanghai Disneyland.
This year is Shanghai Disneyland‘s 5 Year Anniversary and Disney is commemorating the occasion with the “Year of Magical Surprises” celebration!

Along with new nighttime shows, new parades, and new costumes, Shanghai Disneyland has made another big announcement: new strollers!

We’ve already seen a lot of Lunar New Year stuff at Disney World and online, with all kinds of cool red and gold merchandise, including a spirit jersey, Minnie ears, and more! This year, we’re celebrating the Year of the Ox!
New Year’s Eve looked a bit different this year at Walt Disney World, but there were still tons of people who took to the parks to ring in the new year with Disney’s modified celebrations for resort guests.

Disney had announced that the parks would close early and that there would be no live fireworks show (just a pre-recorded version) for health and safety purposes. But Shanghai Disney Resort did have fireworks and finished with a SURPRISING finale!
In 2019, Disney announced a new expansion to Shanghai Disneyland that would be themed around the movie Zootopia!

This would be the first themed land in a Disney park created around the Oscar-winning film. We’ve been getting construction updates along the way, and today, the project reached a major milestone!
