Let’s face it — air travel can be a pain. While it’s still the fastest way to get from point A to point B, between getting the right airfare and navigating airports, it’s not the most enjoyable part of a vacation. Fortunately, if you’re planning a trip through Orlando International Airport (MCO), the airport offers a free perk that may make traveling loads easier!

Most rules in Disney World are quite obvious, as they’re common sense, or the same rules you see at different theme parks around the world.
EPCOT
This includes things like no altercations with other guests or Cast Members, no jumping out of ride vehicles when you’’re ON the ride, and more simple things like no smoking, stealing, or wearing clothes that don’t cover the parts of you they should. But what happens if someone refuses to follow these rules?
Rope dropping is an art at Disney World!
Rope dropping can be really popular!
The term rope drop can mean different things for different people, but typically, rope dropping is when you are in the park, past the turnstiles, BEFORE the park opens. Usually, people arrive about an hour prior to park open to ensure that they are at the rope in front of each of the lands. Believe it or not, at some parks there is a physical rope that keeps you from going into parts of the parks where the attractions are. This rope is then dropped when the park opens. Unfortunately, even the pros make rope drop mistakes, and these are four unfortunate things that always happen to us when we rope drop!
Most things have returned to normal in the Disney World parks after the pandemic closures in 2020.

However, when the parks first reopened, a LOT of things were done quite differently — social distancing was required everywhere, many rides had plexiglass barriers in between rows, and masks were required. And those were just a few of the changes we saw in attempt to ensure a safer experience. All of those are gone now, but one change does remain. Honestly though, we hope it NEVER goes away!
Airline travel is always an experience, for better or for worse. It feels extra stressful when you’re going on vacation, though, right? We don’t want to miss a single extra second of vacation time — ESPECIALLY if we’re stuck at the airport.

If you’ve been to Disney World before, you know that you go through security when you arrive at the parks.

The check usually includes a walk through an advanced scanning device, and then you’re on your merry way. They’re looking out for prohibited items like weapons, pyrotechnics, and even selfie sticks. However, sometimes items that are totally fine to have in the parks will set off the scanners, and then you’ll be subjected to a very thorough bag check! Here are some of the super random items that have caused us problems in the past.
