Today is the very first day of the 2019 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival! Now through June 3, 2019, Epcot guests can enjoy gorgeous Disney-themed topiaries, specialty tours, extra family fun, and the Garden Rocks Concert Series, to name a few of the extra activities blooming all over the park in celebration of Spring.
But the main highlight for us are the Outdoor Kitchens — better known as Food Booths — serving enhanced food and beverage offerings with a focus on the fresh-from-the-garden flavors of Spring.
An unprecedented 17 Outdoor Kitchens set the culinary scene this year — PLUS additional Festival offerings at various locations around the park. And our goal today is to bring you all of the items you CAN’T MISS when you visit the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival this year!

There’s so much going on in Epcot! They are getting ready for the Festival of the Arts to open next week, adding new rides, attractions, restaurants, and even more. This visit was jam-packed with updates!
Let’s dive into all of the updates and start in Future World at one of our first stops on every visit — Fountain View for Coffee and Cupcakes!
It’s no small thing turning the calendar from one year to the next, and with 2019 arriving at warp speed, we got to thinking about all the awesome eats from 2018 that we’d want to munch on as we ring in the new year.
Nothing says Walt Disney World quite as much as dining with fairy tale characters, and the brand new Storybook Dining experience in Artist Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort is one such dreamy meal.
The Epcot International Festival of the Holidays is ON!
This annual Epcot Festival just kicked off today and runs through December 30, 2018. And in addition to over a dozen international food booths, guests will be entertained by Holiday Storytellers and the Candlelight Processional, which share cultural traditions for the holidays around the world.
Returning this year is Chip & Dale’s Christmas Tree Spree — a festive kid-friendly Scavenger Hunt similar to Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt from the Food and Wine Festival. Only for the holidays, we’re helping Chip & Dale collect ornaments to decorate their Christmas Tree.
Just yesterday we let you know about two additional restaurants now utilizing Mobile Order at Disneyland Resort: Tiki Juice Bar (hello, Dole Whip!) and Bayside Brews.
And now additional Mobile Order locations are on the way, all in Disneyland Park proper! Harbour Galley is already on the active list, meaning a Lobster Roll is just a couple minutes away! [Read more…]
Today is the FIRST DAY of the 2018 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!
From now through November 12th, the Festival will offer all sorts of extra culinary fun around Epcot. And a HUGE highlight are the Food Booths lining World Showcase and popping up in Future World celebrating global cuisine with enhanced food offerings.
If you’re planning your visit to this year’s Festival, then you’ll want to start putting together your MUST EAT list… and that’s where we come in! The DFB Team tried every item at the Festival to show you the items you can’t miss!
Are you ready? Because here we GOOOO!!!
doesn’t disappoint with the Maple Bourbon Boursin Cheesecake.
This creamy, decadent treat is made better-than-your-usual-cheesecake (and that’s saying something!!) thanks to that hint of bourbon in the caramel sauce.
BUT, the Sparkling Blueberry Wine by Florida Orange Groves Winery also came as a surprise! [Read more…]
Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival
is a fabulous opportunity to eat lots of great food and to drink lots of great drinks. And while we know we’ll be putting some of our returning favorites on our must-eat list — we also make a second list: New Stuff We Can’t Wait to Try! (Yeah, we’re all about lists here at DFB!)
And this is that list — including a few items we got the chance to sample recently!
The new Guinness Bailey’s Shake from the Ireland booth got us all kinds of excited when we saw it on the menu! We were expecting a frozen, creamy drink with a powerful hit of Guinness and Baileys — and that’s just what we got when we tried it during a preview! PLUS it comes with the glass! We can’t wait to try it again!
The Shimmering Sips Mimosa Bar is brand new this year, and the offerings sound incredible! Mimosas include varieties like the Tropical Mimosa and the Madras Mimosa (which we have tried!), and there’s a tasty-sounding, kid-friendly drink called Frozen Apple Pie!
But aside from those intriguing drinks, the Mimosa Bar is also serving up pastries like an Almond Croissant and a Cheese Danish with Sweet Icing! One of each, please! [Read more…]

We never turn down an opportunity to visit Walt Disney World’s Epcot, and one of our favorite Epcot activities is checking out the new eats. 😉 Refreshment Port, located on the path between World Showcase and Future World, is a convenient spot to grab a quick bite.
Not that we need any excuse to dig into our favorite donuts (at the Disney Parks and in the real world!), but today is National Donut Day, so we’re basically obligated to eat as many donuts as possible.
But let us take a moment to wipe the glaze from our chins so we can bring you some of the coolest, tastiest donuts at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort! Grab a napkin, folks!
To celebrate National Donut Day with a side of awesome, head straight to Main Street Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, and order the Donut Sundae.
