Is Lightning Lane RUINING your Disney World vacation?

Disney World’s skip-the-line system is certainly not the easiest version of the theme park offering, with a plethora of rules, special booking times, price variations, and specific return windows. But some parts of the system are more complicated than others. We’re breaking down the Lightning Lane rules that might be hurting your Disney World experience.
It’s no secret that sometimes Disney rides just don’t operate the way they’re supposed to. In many cases, that means the rides are still functional, but some effects may not be working or the ride is operating in “B Mode.”
Rise of the Resistance
One of the most NOTORIOUS rides to have a lot of technical problems is Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Even when it’s not temporarily closed due to some issue or another, things on the ride are often not working properly. In Disneyland, it’s been a hot minute since the cannons in the latter portion of the ride were moving (they’ve been stationary for a while), but we’ve got great news: those cannons are working and are *pew-pewing* again!
Don’t get us wrong — we’re BEYOND excited to see what Festival of the Arts in EPCOT brings to the table this year, but we have to admit there’s one problem we’re really hoping to see fixed.

Don’t worry, it has nothing to do with the incredible entertainment or art offerings around the park in honor of the festival, but it does have something to do with the food. It’s not the food’s taste or presentation, necessarily. We’re talking about the menu boards.

Riviera Resort
The pricey timeshare-style program from Disney allows owners to buy points that they can then use to book stays at a variety of Disney properties, including hotels at Disney World and Disneyland Resort. You don’t have to be a DVC member to stay at those particular resorts, but if you travel to Disney destinations often enough, it might be worth buying into the program. However, recently there has been a big problem facing DVC members.
These days, if you’re heading to Disney World, you should probably be prepared to use your phone a LOT.

From booking Lightning Lanes to making dining reservations to Mobile Ordering food and checking wait times, there are SO many tasks you’ll do on the My Disney Experience app each day of your trip. However, the app doesn’t always work as intended! Technology can be finicky, and this morning, many people are having some big vacation planning problems.

We’ve been so excited about getting the opportunity to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disney World, which officially opens to the public on June 28th.

Although we finally got a chance to ride the new attraction, it seems like the ride is closed a LOT, and many of those who managed to get early previews are getting turned away when it closes. We’ve seen the ride evacuated and at one point a virtual queue was canceled (although we don’t know if it was due to downtime or something else). We recently just noticed another problem, though, and we’re kinda worried about Tiana.
