February already has its fair share of busy days, but this specific weekend is going to be a perfect storm of high crowd levels and potential frustration. So, if you’re going to be at the Most Magical Place on Earth, let’s talk about why you’ll need extra patience, a solid plan, and maybe a backup plan for your backup plan.
If you are thinking about visiting Disney World in February, you may want to avoid Magic Kingdom.

February tends to be a slower season at Disney World, but is there really even a slow season in Disney World anymore? Winter break is over, and fewer families are taking vacations since kids are back in school, but it could be different in February of 2025.
Using Disney Genie+ can be incredibly helpful during your Disney World vacation, but it can also be a PAIN.

Learning how to navigate the app, not knowing the price for Genie+ in advance, and trying to snag Lightning Lanes for the popular rides that book up FAST can be pretty overwhelming. There’s just so much to take in! And on top of that, sometimes the My Disney Experience app just has random glitches that cause issues.

We’ve been fighting some crowds in the parks for the past few days, but it’s likely to ramp up even more as we head into the weekend. And if you’re trying to head to the parks today, there might be an issue!
If you’re thinking of heading to Disney World this weekend, consider this to be your fair warning.
President’s Day is in February
When you are in the parks basically every day, you start to pick up on a thing or two. Yep, we’ve seen the trends on how February might typically be a slower month for Disney World, but how the crowds just descend during this holiday weekend. That’s what we’re talking about and we want you to be prepared!
Going to Disney World over a holiday is a double-edged sword.

On the one hand, you can take time off of work and school, plus sometimes you can find travel deals to take advantage of. On the other hand, everyone else is thinking the same thing!

Typically, holiday weekends tend to bring extra crowds to the Disney World parks. And it looks like this President’s Day weekend is no exception! In fact, it’s so busy in Disney World that we just experienced a first for Disney Genie+.
The day we warned you about is here: it’s President’s Day! You might be wondering, “What’s the big deal about President’s Day?” Well, in Disney World, those extra few days off invite TONS of guests to visit the parks, which means there are long lines, high wait times, and large crowds pretty much everywhere!
