Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!
Are you already stuffed with turkey, or are you looking for a way to get your traditional fix?
Our Dining in Disneyland expert Heather Sievers swapped coasts for a visit East — yep, she’s makin’ the rounds in Walt Disney World this week! And she couldn’t resist the opportunity to stop by Disney Springs and check out all that’s new in that neck of the woods. And of course, that meant checking out a few of the new stops, like The Daily Poutine.
While she was there, Heather found THIS awesomeness: [Read more…]
Rise and Shine, my friends… It’s time for breakfast in Disney Springs!
What? You don’t particularly think of Disney Springs as a breakfast destination? Granted, when I think of dining in Disney Springs, my mind immediately jumps to a lot of great spots to grab some dinner and take in some of the revitalized nighttime atmosphere in the area since its transformation from Downtown Disney. In fact, some spots like Morimoto Asia are even focusing on the night owls with menus dedicated specifically to Late Night Dining.
But with all the new additions over the past year or so, Disney Springs is becoming a place where you really can spend a huge chunk of a day if you enjoy strolling around and shopping or taking in some of the outdoor entertainment. So guess who’s got you covered for some earlier-morning eats?
Not exactly what you were expecting? I mean, what could a kiosk that focuses on the classic Canadian dish of Poutine (French Fries, beef Poutine gravy, and white cheddar cheese curds) possibly have to offer for breakfast? Well, let’s not forget… The Daily Poutine also serves three variations on the traditional version. And to those, we can add one more: the new All-Day Breakfast Poutine! [Read more…]
My friends, the daily routine has just stepped up a notch…
… thanks to the arrival of The Daily Poutine in Disney Springs!
The Daily Poutine is one of four new Disney owned-and-operated food kiosks joining Disney Springs. B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. and YeSake also opened on Sunday, May 15th, while AristoCrepes will make its debut on May 22nd.
The Daily Poutine serves up the traditional Canadian dish of hot fries topped with gravy and cheese curds — along with a few twists on the classic. And though its arrival was only announced a few weeks ago, DFB Readers have been positively itching for a Poutine stand for ages! Until now, Poutine has only been available at Le Cellier Steakhouse in Epcot’s Canada Pavilion (and even there, the focus has been on non-traditional takes on the dish).
So it’s with an extra bit of excitement that we bring you this review of The Daily Poutine! [Read more…]

Pretty stinking excited about this. When we started to see signs that there would be brand new food kiosks coming to Disney Springs in the near future, we were all in! And now we have MENUS!
AristoCrepes “Coming Soon”
Today, we’re getting lots more details about the soon-to-open AristoCrepes, B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co., and the spot we just told you about this week — The Daily Poutine! Both The Daily Poutine and B.B. Wolfe’s will be opening on May 15, along with many other venues at Disney Springs. Expect to see Aristocrepes ready for business one week later on May 22.
Here are some of the menu details that we have so far! [Read more…]

Just last month, we learned of two new food kiosks on the way to Disney Springs.

While upcoming dining venues like D-Luxe Burger, Amorette’s Patisserie, Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza, and Sprinkles (just to name a few) have garnered their fair share of headlines, for a while the only information available regarding B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. and AristoCrepes was that they are “Coming Soon,” thanks to signs that suddenly appeared in Disney Springs several weeks ago.
B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. will serve artisan sausages, while AristoCrepes will feature sweet and savory crepes. [Read more…]

We are back with some of our very best kept Disney Dining Secrets. And we want to share them with you!
Planning where you’ll be spending your food budget in Disney World is a BIG deal. There are so many choices to make! Maybe you’re worried about getting the advance dining reservations you’d like the most. And what about your favorite brands and foods? Will they have them?
These are all great questions, and we address them all in our DFB Guide to WDW Dining e-Book! But today, we’re exploring one of the biggest concerns: Is it possible to save a buck or two when you’re at Disney?
Today, we’ll share some of our favorite ways to save money during your visit to Walt Disney World. And if you like what you see here, be sure to check out even more secrets in the brand new DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining, 2016 Edition, where we gather over 530 pages of tips, recommendations, and secrets to make your Disney trip the best ever!
Here we go!
I love this tip, and it can save you some serious cash (and calories!). You may think the price printed on the menu board or in the menu is non-negotiable. But we’ve got a secret to share!
Did you know that you can often forego unwanted sides? For instance, say you order a sandwich that comes with fries, but you don’t really want them. Ask if you can order your sandwich as an entree only and save!
And if you’re a light eater, or someone who doesn’t really care about (or literally can’t EAT) that side of salad/chips/fries/coleslaw/pasta salad, then you’ll never miss it.

is tucked inside Epcot’s Canada pavilion.
Le Cellier has seen a few changes over the years. Once upon a time, it was a very much in-demand restaurant requiring one Table Service credit on the Disney Dining Plan. These days, while you’ll still typically find it to be quite crowded (the same goes for most Table Service restaurants in World Showcase), it’s now a Signature Restaurant requiring two Table Service credits to dine there at either lunch or dinner. And there’s no longer a less-expensive lunch menu as in days of yore.
Much more recently, it’s gone through another change as well. For those who enjoy keeping up with the whereabouts of Disney Chefs, you may know that Chef Dee Foundoukis (formerly of Kouzzina by Cat Cora and Trattoria al Forno) is now heading up Le Cellier.
So I thought it was high time to head back and see how things are shaping up…
… and check out what’s new and what’s remained the same inside “The Cellar.” [Read more…]

Sure, we may have said “So long” to the Flower and Garden Festival for this year, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to look forward to at Walt Disney World! Springs moves to summer as Disney World gears up for the busy vacation season, otherwise known as the “Coolest Summer Ever”!
And since it’s a very special time of year for Star Wars fans in particular, why don’t we start our ‘round the World tour at Hollywood Studios to see What’s New!
Star Wars Weekends
kicked off on May 15th!
The excitement! The pageantry! The CUPCAKES! The Jabba the Hutt Cupcake has joined the Darth Vader and Yoda Cupcakes this year.
It can be found at counter service locations such as Starring Rolls, Backlot Express, The Trolley Car Cafe, and Tusken Fridge Raiders — the premiere Star Wars snack stop, located inside Darth’s Mall.
But cupcakes aren’t all that’s in store…
Like last year, several temporary pop-up bars can be found all over the park for the weekend events.
However, they feature all-new drinks this year. Each bar serves two out of of four drinks: The Mustafar and The Tatooine, or The Endor and The Alderaan.
We’ll be taking a closer look at those beverages soon, but once again this year, it’s ALL about the souvenir glow cubes: drinks come with either a Millennium Falcon glow cube or your very own mini Death Star.
The Jedi Mickey Character Dinner at Hollywood and Vine and Star Wars Galactic Dine-In Breakfast returned to Hollywood Studios earlier this month (on May the Fourth Be With You, naturally). But brand new to Star Wars Weekends this year is the Rebel Hangar — A Star Wars Lounge Experience, which has effectively converted half of Backlot Express into an abandoned spaceport in the Sullest system.
You can read all about this special month-long dining event featuring small plates and specialty cocktails in our full review of the Rebel Hangar!
Believe it or not, though, it’s not all Star Wars at Hollywood Studios… we’ve got some regular ol’ menu changes at some favorite Table Service restaurants to report as well. Sci-Fi Dine-In has added the Sci-Fi Popcorn Treat to the appetizer selection. It’s popcorn soup (for watching those old movies, of course!) with buffalo popcorn chicken and celery sticks, drizzled with blue cheese dressing.
New entrees include Grilled Marinated Salmon, while the Veggie Burger got a [Read more…]

You’re planning your first trip to Walt Disney World. Or your 50th. Or your 100th. And you reeeeeeeally want to know what NEW dishes you MUST try? Weeeeeeelllllllllll, we’ve got a few suggestions for you!
We’ve got about nine of our favorite you-HAVE-to-EAT-this dishes and snacks featured in our brand new DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining 2015 e-Book, which you can pick up today for $4 off using code 2015 right here!
But I wanted to take a second to share just a few of those must-eat treats here with you as well.
Yep — here at DFB, we always like to kick off each new year with some of our favorite treats spotted during the last few months. But when I sat down to brainstorm this post…well, at first it seemed like 2014 didn’t offer a whole lot of new stuff.
That said, when I started scrolling back through everything we ate this past year, I realized there was a lot to be said for 2014 and its culinary prowess.
There is one really big difference between this year and previous years, however. Most of our crave-worthy dishes are savory this time around! I know! WUT?!??!?!?!?!? Don’t worry, though — I’ve got a few sweeties thrown in.
Here’s the New Food I Want to Stuff My Face with at Disney Parks in 2015!
We thought that Mac and Cheese, that king of comfort foods, was enough. But little did we know what we had been missing, until Disney started putting additional delicious food on top of its cheesy goodness.
We first saw the dawn of Gourmet Mac and Cheese — we’re just gonna call it that if that’s all right with you — a while back. Friar’s Nook introduced the concept, and we were smitten with their Bacon Cheeseburger Mac and Cheese and Blue Cheese Mac right away.
BUT THEN — this happened.
