It was certainly a surprise to stop by Pongu Pongu last week and no longer see the spot’s signature snack — the Pongu Lumpia — on the posted menu signboard.

Animal Kingdom’s Pandora — The World of AVATAR is known for a few of its more unique eats almost as much as it’s well known for the land’s headliner attractions and remarkable atmosphere.
For instance, the Night Blossom at Pongu Pongu — Pandora’s beverage and snack stop — has been a huge hit. So much so, that this drink has also received a spiked makeover with a recently added Rum Blossom version.
The drinks have been such a huge hit that perhaps they’ve overshadowed what was supposed to be Pongu Pongu’s signature snack: the Pongu Lumpia. Because on our visit to Pongu Pongu today, we realized that the Pongu Lumpia is no longer listed on the menu. [Read more…]
On May 27, 2018, Pandora — the World of AVATAR celebrated its first birthday! And while the Animal Kingdom’s newest land didn’t have a Pandoran smash cake, we did stop in to retry some of the eats that’ve fueled many a journey down the Na’vi River and on the back of a banshee for Flight of Passage!

Since Pandora — The World of AVATAR opened last year in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we’ve been watching the treats at the land’s beverage and snack stand, Pongu Pongu.
Pongu Pongu’s signature snack, Pongu Lumpia, is a pineapple and cream cheese-filled spring roll. It’s been a love/hate snack since some people don’t like the texture — but I think it’s great! But something that does tend to be a big favorite among many is the Night Blossom. This frozen beverage layers apple with desert pear and limeade and is topped with passion fruit popping pearls.
They keep trying to convince me that the Pandoran Sunrise at Satu’li Canteen is Pandora’s signature drink. But, trust me. It’s totally the Night Blossom.
It’s bright and beautiful, both in color and flavor, and we’ve recommended it from the first as one of the best non-alcoholic drink options not only in Animal Kingdom, but in the whole of Disney World.
Wait… did I say “non-alcoholic”? Yes I did… because it is. But NOW, you can also order up a RUM BLOSSOM, which adds Bacardi Superior Rum to the drink!
Happy Monday! And what better way to kick off your week than with another DFB Video? Today we’re checking out 5 Disney World drinks that we think you should put on your list to try in 2018!
From Epcot and Hollywood Studios to Animal Kingdom and beyond the parks in Disney Springs, we enjoyed several fun new drinks in 2017 that we totally think you need to check out on your next Disney World visit! And while plenty invite you to imbibe, we’ve also included our favorite non-alcoholic beverage on the list so everyone’s sure to have something tasty and cool to sip. Cheers to you, my friends! We’re still newly into 2018! And tradition dictates that we ring in the New Year with some bubbly. While that’s never a bad choice when the clock strike midnight, I’ve got some ideas for ways you can celebrate with a drink in Walt Disney World no matter what time of year your visit falls in 2018!
These are some of the sips we most enjoyed over the past year… and can’t wait to enjoy again in 2018!
Did you think Amorette’s Patisserie showcased nothing more than artful cakes and pastries? Then think again. Because this Disney Springs sweet spot is home to the vino that went VIRAL in 2017: Wine Slushies!
Choose from two fruity flavors: Strawberry Shiraz and Mango Moscato (an Apple Cider Riesling even appeared on the menu for the 2017 holiday season).
