Today, we tried the Fourth of July Cupcake from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!

Beaches & Cream‘s Kitchen Sink is the ULTIMATE ultimate food to share with your Disney squad. This massive sink-bowl is packed with scoops of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cookies and cream, and mint chocolate chip ice cream and then topped with every ice cream topping in the restaurant (and a full can of whipped cream!). Yeah, it’s amazing.

Resort dining is often fantastic, and Disney Springs has more options for dining than ever before.
Kona Cafe at Walt Disney World’s Polynesian Village Resort
has always been a guest favorite spot to grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner. But with a big menu change, is it still as crave-worthy?
Located in the Great Ceremonial House that serves as the centerpiece of the resort, the restaurant is airy and open…but still relatively boring when it comes to decor and theme. But since the Polynesian is on the Monorail, Kona Cafe is relatively easy to access even if you’re not staying at the resort. And, of course, the food has been fairly consistent over the years: good with moments of greatness.
Now the recent menu change has guests wondering whether Kona Cafe should stay on their must-get Advance Dining Reservation list or whether they should head elsewhere. We reviewed lunch shortly after the menu change, and overall, we were impressed by the offerings! In particular, we thought the sushi was a terrific value, and we enjoyed the Hawaiian-Style Reuben sandwich. Even dessert had some pleasant surprises with Key Lime and Tiramisu cups bringing good flavor.

The Tropical Snowstorm is listed on the menu’s limited time, seasonsl insert, but Daniel notes that all the drinks on this page are available to order all year. (So long as the bar has the ingredients, you can get one!) The Tropical Snowstorm is Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Coconut Cream, Cinnamon, and Nutmeg!

Oh, yes. The year in cupcakes kicked off in high gear with the grandest cupcake of them all: the Rose Gold Cupcake! We found this beauty way back in January at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot’s Future World, and then rose gold treats suddenly began appearing everywhere!

We didn’t hate the rose gold trend. We were in for the ears, the spirit jerseys, and — especially — the cupcakes! This one from Main Street Bakery was a big hit due to all. that. frosting!
