This remarkable and truly immersive area of the park is themed after the James Cameron movie Avatar, and May 27th marks the land’s five-year anniversary of being open in Animal Kingdom. And now — thirteen years later — the world is finally getting an Avatar sequel. Disney just shared a brand-new teaser trailer for the film and we’re sharing the details!

There’s a LOT going on in Disney World right now. The 50th Anniversary is still happening, and you can find treats and celebrations throughout the parks. EPCOT is going through a massive transformation with new restaurants, rides, and attractions all coming to the park. And part of that huge transformation is the opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! This coaster is officially opening to guests on May 27th, 2022. But that’s not the only exciting thing happening on that day!

Absolutely stunning
You likely know Animal Kingdom for its rides and experiences. We do really enjoy a nice day in this park. Seeing the animals (especially when there are new babies out!), riding Expedition Everest 3 times in a row, taking a walk around the Tree of Life to admire the carvings — there’s no shortage of ways to have fun in the park. We also love exploring Pandora: The World of Avatar, which has one of our favorite places to grab a bite to eat — Satu’li Canteen!
