Why We’re Worried About Spaceship Earth in Disney World

EPCOT is such an underrated park. First, you’ve got all these AMAZING festivals that bring a lot of extra food, fun, and entertainment to the park.

Plus you’ve got World Showcase where you can walk around the world in less than a day (and again…MORE great food). Then there are the nighttime shows. Of course, there’s the show on World Showcase Lagoon, Luminous “The Symphony of Us.” But there’s also the fancy lighting on Spaceship Earth that lights up the night throughout the evening in the front of the park. However, we recently spotted a BIG problem with EPCOT’s icon.

We’ve Got Good News and Bad News About a Popular Disney Parade

Something BIG is happening over in Disneyland. The resort is celebrating its 70th anniversary!

A big celebration is in store, too, which will bring new ride updates, special decor on Sleeping Beauty Castle and throughout Disneyland Park, PLUS the return of two parades. One of those parades is the popular Paint The Night parade, but Disney has revealed a change being made to that parade that you might want to know about.

ALERT! A BIG Fireworks Change Is Coming to Magic Kingdom on March 30th

It’s been a YEAR in Disney World. Let’s just say keeping up with all the changes (and those to come) has been a challenge.

We’ve literally watched part of DinoLand, U.S.A. in Disney’s Animal Kingdom get shut down to make way for a new land. We’ve seen the end of It’s Tough To Be A Bug so that a new Zootopia-themed show can take over its spot. We’ve mourned the upcoming loss of Muppets Courtyard as it gets converted into a Monsters, Inc. land. Over in Magic Kingdom, we’re a little upset about the upcoming loss of Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island for a Cars expansion. But something else is changing soon in Magic Kingdom, too: nighttime entertainment.

Disney Figured Out My Secret Fireworks Viewing Spot, and Now They’re Selling Dining Packages There, Too

Okay, so the last time I was in Disneyland, as a Star Wars nerd, I ended up spending a LOT of time in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

So while my friends rode Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run (and sorta got stuck on it), I was enjoying a Cold Brew Black Caf and sitting UNDER the Falcon, just enjoying a quiet evening in Batuu. Then, a Cast Member came up and told me I had to move because the fireworks were starting soon. Okay, so I was confused. But wait…then Cast Members came out and blocked out an area near the Falcon for fireworks viewing. Yes, you could see the Disneyland fireworks from there (but without the music) — and not a lot of people even knew about it. It was AWESOME…but now things have changed.

BREAKING: Disney Reveals NEW Concept Art for Magic Kingdom’s Nighttime Parade

We’ve been so excited about the new nighttime parade coming to Magic Kingdom ever since it was announced back in August.

This new nighttime parade is called Disney Starlight, and we know it’ll feature the magic of the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio, along with characters from Encanto, Frozen, and Peter Pan. We’ve also known that the parade will be “brought to life by the magic of the Blue Fairy,” but that’s about all we’ve known for a few months. But NOW we’ve got more details you need to know about!

People Are Still Skipping This Hotel Restaurant With Amazing Fireworks Views in Disney World

Nighttime entertainment in Disney World is something you should NOT miss (even though we occasionally will tell you to skip fireworks for rides, and yes, we’re ironic like that). The problem with watching nighttime entertainment, though…involves all the other people who have the exact same idea. Nighttime fireworks bring serious crowds, and sometimes it’s just not worth navigating the crowds — or it’s not even POSSIBLE to navigate the crowds — to get good fireworks views.

But you do have other options. Some you may know about, like booking a meal at California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort to see the Happily Ever After fireworks in Magic Kingdom. But you also have some options to catch the EPCOT nighttime show, and one of those is in a place you might not expect!

Disney Made a Major Change in Magic Kingdom…It Could Be a Clue for a Huge Update in EPCOT!

We’ve seen so many changes in Disney World just over the past four years.

This is especially true with nighttime entertainment. In Magic Kingdom, Disney introduced the Disney Enchantment fireworks show to celebrate Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. So here’s the thing…fans still preferred the Happily Ever After fireworks show, which ended up making a return once the 50th anniversary celebration had ended. Could we see something similar happen in EPCOT?

So we’re not always excited when something new comes to Disney Springs (unless it concerns food, then, well, we get VERY excited).

Disney Springs does have live entertainment (we’ve often seen live bands here), not to mention a cool art walk, but other than that, there’s not much to do there at night. But now, a new nighttime show coming to the shopping and dining district — and it’s could change EVERYTHING.
