The Disney Destiny, the latest ship from the ever-expanding Disney Cruise Line, is just about ready for guests, and we got to see some of the ship’s NEW elements up close!

The ship, which will have its maiden voyage this November, will be themed to Heroes and Villains and be “inspired by the dynamic duality of every great Disney story when developing this new ship, where opposing forces of light and dark drive characters to rise to their purpose,” according to Disney’s Imagineers.

And can you blame us?! Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship in the fleet has us beyond ready to experience all the food, excitement, the new lounges like the Aristocats-themed lounge and Haunted Mansion Parlor, and so much more. But before we get too carried away, and since we’re talking about setting sail, we’ve got to talk about which airlines you’re going to want to use if you’ve booked a cruise on the Disney Treasure! Let’s dive right in!

And it makes sense because this brand-new ship coming to the Disney Cruise Line fleet has so many new things for us to experience, like the Aristocats-themed lounge and Haunted Mansion Parlor. We’re just beside ourselves with all the excitement. But before we get too far ahead, and since we’re talking about these lounges and the food they’re going to have there, it got us thinking about another experience that’s unique to the Disney Cruise Line — rotational dining. Disney Cruise Line just continues to expand its fleet.

In 2022, the Disney Wish began setting sail (and we even had a chance to check it out). In 2024, the Disney Treasure will be taking its maiden voyage. But Disney isn’t stopping there: the company just announced the name of yet ANOTHER new ship that will be added to its fleet.
The Disney Wish is the newest addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet, and is scheduled to set sail on June 9th, 2022 for the first time.

As the maiden voyage approaches, Disney is working hard to get the Disney Wish ready for its first passengers. Captain Minnie will be a big part of this new ship, and she just got a major starring role on the front of the ship!
The Disney Cruise Line is currently not sailing, but we have an exciting look at what’s ahead.

While we can’t hop on a Disney Cruise right this second, we’re getting excited about future adventures. We recently saw itineraries announced for Spring 2022, and we can’t wait to see more about one of the newest ships — the Disney Wish — which is still being built. Even though the construction of the latest ships has been delayed by the pandemic, during this morning’s Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Celebration, Disney shared a fun update about one upcoming addition to Disney Cruise Line. We now know what character statue will be featured in the main lobby of the Disney Wish!
