Disney World has gotten a LOT of new restaurants recently.
Space 220
We had Space 220, Steakhouse 71, and La Crêperie de Paris all open up in 2021, and in 2022 we’ve seen the addition of Connections Eatery and BoardWalk Deli. Besides those, we’re still getting pumped for the arrival of Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Toy Story Land! But what about restaurants OUTSIDE of Disney World? Well, if you’re a dessert fanatic, there’s a new spot coming to Orlando that you’ll want to check out.

From the release of MagicBand+ to fun at the 2022 EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, there have been some BIG Disney new items this past month. Now, we’re taking a look at the three most UNEXPECTED things that happened in Disney World in October!

Disney’s BoardWalk
EPCOT is in the middle of a massive transformation that will add new buildings and the Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana attraction. Toy Story Land is currently under construction for a new gift shop, as well as a new restaurant, Roundup Rodeo BBQ. A while back, Disney announced that changes would be coming to the BoardWalk as well, and now, we’ve got more information about a NEW restaurant!

Yep! A brand new food truck is coming to Disney Springs this month called Local Green Atlanta! It will join the 3 other food trucks in Disney Springs: 4 Rivers Cantina Barbacoa, Mac & Cheese, and Hot Diggity Dogs. While the new joint isn’t open yet, the actual food truck HAS arrived in Disney World — let’s check it out!
2022 has been a BIG year for Disney!

The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser started accepting guests, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opened in EPCOT, and we got many popular entertainment options back — that all happened in the first half of the year! On top of that, we’ll be getting yet ANOTHER new restaurant in 2022.

We’ve got some pretty awesome news so far about Disneyland Paris, the new Disney Wish cruise ship, and a sneak peek at some of the news things coming to Disney World soon! We haven’t had much news about food yet (which we’ve been excited for, obviously), but that changed as of this morning!
Steakhouse 71 is a new restaurant that is set to open tomorrow (October 1st) in the former location of The Wave…of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, just in time for the start of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration! The restaurant is themed after 1971, the opening year of Walt Disney World.
