Mufasa’s reign begins in a few weeks!

We’ve known for a bit that Mufasa: The Lion King would be coming to Disney+ in March, thanks to Dana Walden, the co-chairman of Disney Entertainment, confirmed the “late March” timeline at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference earlier this month. However, we didn’t have a specific date… UNTIL NOW!

Dana Walden, the co-chairman of Disney Entertainment, confirmed the timeline at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference on March 4th. While no date was specified other than “late March,” March 20th will mark a full three months since the film was raised in theaters, which could be the end of a contractual theatrical window. That’s somewhat quicker than usual. For example, Moana 2 will make its Disney+ debut four months after its theatrical release.
Mufasa: The Lion King is Disney’s latest theatrical release, which came to theaters on December 20th, 2024.

With all of the latest buzz surrounding Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King feature film in theaters, we figured it was only a matter of time until we saw the movie reflected in the Disney World parks. We knew to anticipate a few new treats coming (with one we already were raving about) but no one could have prepared us for the tasty journey we were about to embark on!
If there’s anything we love, it’s a new snack in Disney World!

We’re constantly on the lookout for new treats to try in the parks when we visit, and thankfully, Disney obliges us quite frequently. In fact, you may not even have to travel very far to grab this new popcorn bucket. It all depends on how far away the nearest Regal theater is from you.

We just got a look at the very first trailer for Mufasa: The Lion King coming soon. We’ve known about this live-action prequel for a while, but we’ve officially got our first look at what the movie will look like.
