Howdy from Magic Kingdom!
We’re at the parks alllll the time keeping an eye out for new things to tell you about, so come with us as we share what’s new at Magic Kingdom!
Sometimes you encounter unexpected problems in Disney World that are completely out of your control.
Rain can pop up out of nowhere, rides can be closed with no explanation, or your favorite food item could be missing. Sometimes problems can pop up due to Disney transportation as well. It can be a bit unreliable or entire transportation systems can be closed unexpectedly. That’s exactly what is happening to guests trying to get to Magic Kingdom this morning — and it’s causing a big traffic jam!
It’s an exciting day at Disney World!
Disney’s Polynesian Monorail has reopened!
Although Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort re-opened in July, one thing did not re-open with it — the Monorail. The Monorail at the Polynesian has been under construction since last year as a part of the resort’s overhaul. But we’ve got some good news — as of today, the Monorail at the Polynesian is running again!
When the Monorail resumed operations in Disney World last summer, it was running limited service with some trains, stations, and loops not available right away.
Since then, we’ve seen more Monorails return to service, as well as the reopening of the EPCOT Monorail loop. And with construction making good progress at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort’s Monorail station, we’re closer than ever to the Disney World Monorail service being back 100%.
If you’ve taking a trip around the Magic Kingdom Resort Monorail loop recently, you have probably noticed that you currently cannot get on or off at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
The resort, which has gone through extensive renovations along with a re-theming of their guest rooms inspired by Moana, has had no working Monorail station for several months now as the station undergoes some renovations.
Disney World’s 50th anniversary is coming up soon!
SO much is happening for the big celebration — a new fireworks show in Magic Kingdom, golden character statues around the parks, more EPCOT Food and Wine Festival booths opening, a brand new ride opening, a ton of new merchandise, and more! We’re slowly seeing Disney gear up for the big day, and we just spotted a NEW addition on our visit to Magic Kingdom today!
With the 50th Anniversary of Disney World right around the corner, Disney has been busy at work updating a myriad of its hotels and attractions!
One of the hotels that is getting a facelift is Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Disney is updating the entrance, monorail station, and overhauling guest rooms to a Moana theme. Although the resort is officially open again and we got a look at the brand new Moana rooms, we have an update about the entrance for you today! [Read more…]
Disney World may be the Most Magical Place on Earth, but it’s also a place that’s FILLED with difficult decisions and impossible debates!
Should you snack on waffles or pretzels? Which Disney hotel should you book? Is Rise of the Resistance REALLY worth the wake-up call?! Debates abound, and we asked YOU to tell us where you stand!
If there’s anything Disney World guests are good at it, it’s standing in line. ?
Line for Space Mountain
Let’s face it — you have to stand in line for everything at Disney World: for transportation, for rides, for food, for shopping, and for pretty much everything else. But not every line is created equal…
Even with the most impeccable planning for your Disney World trip, there’s always the possibility that something might go a little off track.
And, though there are a lot of things you can anticipate — an afternoon rain, a child meltdown, you lose something (or someONE), what about the times that something that you couldn’t necessarily plan for…happens. Well, that’s what we’re talking about today!
