That’s right – POTION PURPLE ears!
The Animal Kingdom is always a fun park to visit, and this week’s visit kept us busy with lots of new items including #Mickey90 ears, some fun Christmas gifts, new food, and construction updates.
We love how relaxed this scene makes us feel — before we dash around the park! Here’s everything we found this week.
Can’t get enough Mickey-shaped treats this Halloween season? We brought you the scoop on festive fall treats available in Walt Disney World, and now we’re coming at ya with a review on this spooky, sweet treat from Trolley Car Cafe in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Need to know more about this pumpkin-inspired dessert? We’ve got you covered.
Officially named Chocolate Cake – topped with chocolate mousse and chocolate Mickey ears, this dessert consists of a mini chocolate cake topped with chocolate mousse, orange and black glaze, and chocolate Mickey ears. Anyone else feel like they missed an opportunity to call this Mickey Mousse? No, just us?
The Main Street Plaza Ice Cream Parlor in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World seems like it might be on a quest to constantly out-do itself.

Depending on where you are in the country, school has been back in session for at least a week. Pumpkin Spiced beverages are up for grabs everywhere, and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is ON.
Which means it’s time to say…. Happy Fall, Y’all! And when it comes to autumn in Disney World, there’s so much to see and do… and EAT!
Our Disneyland Correspondent Heather Sievers (you know her because she’s always Dining in Disneyland — and dining so well!) is more than up to the task of checking out new goodies. And this one happens to be on BOTH coasts right now!
In addition to hanging out with yours truly at the 2017 Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival, and trying out ALL. THE. THINGS at the Red Rose Taverne (which has temporarily taken over Village Haus to commemorate the release of Beauty and the Beast), she’s still keeping up with the regular stomping grounds, too. And that includes stops like the Candy Palace.
Because there’s still nothing like a classic Mickey cupcake. And Heather picked up this Cookies and Cream Mickey Cupcake recently. [Read more…]

Hooray! We are getting our very first look at some of the merchandise that will be available at the 2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!
There are some great pieces to whet our appetites — for souvenir shopping! The Festival kicks off September 19 — mark your calendar and plan a visit to Epcot — because you won’t be able to purchase items via the Disney Parks Online Store this year.
Let’s take a look!
Right out of the shoot, we are seeing two different logos on several items. The first theme is Taste Your Way Around the World. The bold, retro look of the font is fun and evokes the adventure of international travel — perfect! And don’t you love the skyline at the bottom, which highlights the icons of the World Showcase Pavilions?
The other motif we see repeated is an homage to beer! Brews Around the World promises to be a popular choice among guests who enjoy trying all the brewskies available at the Marketplace Booths. Equally handsome, the rustic logo channels a painted wooden plaque look. It also features the landmarks of World Showcase.
Score the reusable tote in 2014, and enjoy both logos — one on each side!
Here, you can see several uses for the two different themes. We love the [Read more…]

Just wanted to take you with me on this food-filled event in Walt Disney World! I’m posting photos and updates continuously to twitter and facebook, but I also wanted to do a quick post here with a few of the recent highlights:
I thought this was great! For those of you addicted to 100-calorie packs of your favorite treats, Disney’s got you covered!
New triangular truffles are being sold at candy counters throughout the World.
A fruit basket, along with chocolates, wine, cheese, and other goodies, were delivered to the rooms of each of the event attendees. Just goes to show — there really IS a “Disney Difference.”
I enjoyed a delicious steak at Flying Fish Cafe — stay tuned in coming blog posts to read about the full meal!
A new kind of Mickeyroni and Cheese!
Good to know you can still get a citrus swirl!
Unsure as to why our Pineapple Soft Serve Dole Whip Floats were different colors… Hmm… (I promise they were both pineapple — no vanilla here!)
Saw the scratch and sniff popcorn Mickey Ears for the first time! They also have a “Mickey Bar” version!
There’s lots more on my Facebook and Twitter pages! Stay tuned!
