It was announced yesterday at Destination D23 that the highly anticipated Figment meet and greet would be arriving in EPCOT today, and we’re here to check it out!
If you’re a Disney fan, chances are you have a favorite character — whether they’re from your favorite classic film or maybe even your favorite ride in the parks!

Some people take their love of Disney characters very seriously (Hi, it’s us, we’re “people.”) and we’ve seen some pretty chaotic moments in Disney World because of it. Remember the Figment popcorn bucket fiasco from the 2022 EPCOT Festival of the Arts? Folks queued up in hours-long lines to snag the little guy — and now Figment is BACK causing chaos again.
Meeting characters in Disney World is all part of the fun (and we think it’s sometimes the BEST part of going to Disney World).

We’re also really excited about new character meet and greets we’ve seen pop up recently, like the new Moana meet and greet in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Well, listen up, Moana fans, because a NEW meet and greet with her will soon be added to EPCOT.

Back in 2022, Disney announced that a Figment meet and greet would be coming to Disney World, and then we got an opening timeline back in March. Now the time has finally come, DFB friends; it’s time to MEET FIGMENT!

We know we are, and it looks like Disney is putting the finishing touches on its newest meet and greet space. That’s right, Mirabel Madrigal from Encanto is coming to Magic Kingdom soon, and we’ve been keeping up with the latest progress. It looks like we’re one step closer because something new has been added to Fairytale Garden!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is in the works, the Hatbox Ghost will be making his way to Haunted Mansion, and soon we’ll be getting new character meet-and-greets! Earlier this year, we learned that characters from the Madrigal family would be making their way to Magic Kingdom. Mirabel is set to take over Fairytale Garden, the old Merida meet-and-greet, and her Uncle Bruno would be popping up in the park as well. And now, we have details of when he will arrive!
There are lots of changes going on in Disney World right now.
