Hello from Magic Kingdom, DFB friends!
It’s the start to another busy week at Disney! While out and about in Magic Kingdom yesterday, we spotted some characters, took a peek at the Rivers of American construction, and more.
We have loved all the holiday offerings in Disney World so far!
We’ve got holiday cavalcades in each park, TONS of delicious seasonal snacks, decorations in the resorts and parks, and we even have loads of seasonal fun in Disney Springs! Even though this year is different than what we’ve experienced in the past, we’re still loving it. And now, select guests will be able to get a taste of what things were like before with a socially-distanced meet and greet with Santa Claus!
Nowadays, character experiences and meet-and-greets are a WHOLE lot different than they used to be!
But just because we can’t hug our fav characters at Disney World doesn’t mean we can’t wave and swoon from a safe distance! Seeing our beloved characters in the era of social distancing makes our hearts melt that much more, which is why we were SO psyched to see a new princess (distanced) meet and greet at Magic Kingdom!
Since the reopening of Disney World, character meet and greets have looked a little bit different.
You can spot your favorites in the character cavalcades at each park, or even frolicking in the grass at EPCOT. Recently, we saw Anna and Elsa greet guests from a distance and now, another crowd-favorite is returning to the meet and greet scene!
We’ve been coming up with games to stay entertained and so far we’ve figured out what your favorite snacks, attractions, and movies are!
What we REALLY want to know right now is WHO your favorite Disney park characters are!
Disney World is going to look pretty different when it reopens on July 11th, and the guests aren’t the only ones who are going to see new health measures.
Our favorite Disney pals in the parks are going to have to make some changes, too! Disney has announced that character meet and greets and character dining (except for one modified version at Topolino’s Terrace in Disney’s Riviera Resort) won’t be a part of the reopened parks at first. Still, that doesn’t mean we won’t see those iconic friends during our Disney day. We’re diving into what character interaction might look like when the parks reopen!
Alright, folks, it’s time to put a smile on everyone’s faces!
Disney World Ambassadors have been working to support the Disney Magic Moments initiative that brings some joy to those stuck at home (AKA, all of us). Now, they’ve cued up a new challenge for Disney-lovers. Get ready to share your early Disney experiences with the world in the My First Disney Character Challenge!
There is so much news breaking about Avengers Campus right now, it’s enough to make your head spin!
And while we’ve already shared with you this morning new details about Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure, as well as some of the new merchandise, and new foods and drinks you’ll find throughout Avengers Campus (along with the exact opening date!), we’re back with new info about which superheroes (and supervillain!) you’ll actually get to MEET at the Marvel-themed land!
There’s no shortage of Disney and Pixar characters you can meet at Disney’s Hollywood Studios — where all the stars come out to SHINE!
But we’ve just learned two of our favorite heroes will be transitioning to a seasonal schedule!
If you’ve been following along, Big Top Souvenirs and Pete’s Silly Sideshow, located in the heart of the Magic Kingdom’s Storybook Circus in Walt Disney World, closed suddenly late last week.
While we’re still unsure of the reasons behind this unexpected closure, we’re happy to report that Pete’s Silly Sideshow, the character meet-and-greet location, has now reopened.
