Since Disney World reopened about a year ago, a LOT has changed regarding health and safety measures in the parks.
Mickey Face Mask
For a while, there were tons of different policies to keep up with, but since the COVID-19 vaccine has rolled out across the country, health and safety measures have started to dwindle down. We’ve seen the removal of temperature checks, physical distancing markers, and face masks outdoors, but there’s a new policy starting today — Disney World guests no longer need to wear masks in most locations.
Since Disneyland reopened, face coverings have been required for guests both indoors and outdoors.
However, as the parks continue with their phased reopening and prepare to open to out-of-state guests, we’re seeing policy changes. Notably, a BIG shift in mask requirements is coming soon.

Now, things have changed again and masks are required for all guests indoors (and in select other places), regardless of vaccination status. These changes (and the current mask policy) can affect how you wear your mask during your vacation! And we’re got some tips for ya right here.
It’s been quite the day at Disney World!
Guests at Disney World after new mask policy
Temperature checks are no longer required to enter the park. The plexiglass dividers on Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are gone. More guests are being seated during the A Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. And guests are no longer required to wear face masks while outdoors (with some stipulations).
It’s been a BIG morning in Disney World.
Just last night Disney announced face masks for all guests would not be required outdoors. After almost a year of strict face mask rules in place, we hit the parks early to see this new change in action. Come along with us as we check out life in Disney World (outdoors) mask-free. [Read more…]
There have been a lot of changes to health and safety guidelines in theme parks recently.
And, as CDC recommendations continue to change, many theme parks are considering making more adjustments to their policies. We’ve already seen one major theme park in the U.S. allow guests to remove their face masks in outdoor settings, and now another is relaxing their guidelines.
