Disney World is going through a lot right now!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Hollywood Studios is working on bringing Monsters Inc. to life, a Cars land is in the works right now, and the Disney Villains are getting their own land too! We cover every Disney change from big to small and now we’ve found another update over in Animal Kingdom that’s bigger than it may seem.
We are LESS than 100 days from the grand opening of Universal’s brand-new theme park, Epic Universe. And if you couldn’t tell, we are getting VERY excited about the opening.
Epic Universe Model
Epic Universe will feature five themed lands with lots of new attractions, entertainment, shopping, and dining. Some of the lands include Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic.
We’re SO CLOSE to the 2025 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival we can taste it.

We’ll be coming to you LIVE from the first day of the festival to share everything you need to know about the exciting entertainment, shopping, gorgeous topiaries, and of course — the food! It’s no secret that a LOT has changed in Disney World over the last several years.
Disney Springs
The EPCOT transformation finally came to an end, while Magic Kingdom is about to go through a massive expansion. Muppets Courtyard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a new Monsters, Inc. land, while Dinoland, U.S.A. is closing in Disney’s Animal Kingdom to make way for Pueblo Esperanza. Disney Springs has seen some changes recently, too, and the newest map is proof of just how much the shopping and dining district has changed.
If you’re visiting Disney World, the My Disney Experience app will be your new best friend — because you’ll be using it for EVERYTHING.
EPCOT
You can use the app to check-in to your hotel room, unlock your hotel room door, Mobile Order food, use Mobile Check-Out for souvenirs, and purchasing and booking your Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass reservations. Speaking of Lightning Lanes, we just uncovered a feature that will come in SUPER handy when you’re in the parks and want to keep tabs on all those Lightning Lanes you’ve booked.
Are we Disney World pros? Yes, we are! Do we still make mistakes in Disney World? Well, to quote The Good Place, “Pobody’s Nerfect.”

For example, we still trip over the trolley tracks in Magic Kingdom although we’ve walked down Main Street, U.S.A. MILLIONS of times. We also still occasionally forget to bring our rain gear to the park, even on days when we KNOW it’s going to rain. Yes, we even occasionally still wear shoes that we think could be a bad idea (and they usually are) and have achy feet at the end of the day. In other words, we’re human. So we have a story to share with you about us getting lost at a Disney hotel.

We are SO excited to be here at the party, enjoying all the trick-or-treating (candy for DAYS, y’all), the special characters that we can see ONLY during the party, the exclusive entertainment, and the exclusive party snacks. But there’s one very important thing you’ll need if you plan on attending the party, and that’s the official Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party map.

A “new” park requires a new map.
EPCOT
Maps have LONG been an integral part of the Disney theme park experience. Some of the initial concept art for the original “Mickey Mouse Park” that would eventually turn into Disneyland was done in a map format. A decade later, when Walt and Roy Disney were trying to secure investors, Walt had Imagineer and artist Herb Ryman design several pieces of concept art — including a map — to pitch the project. From the moment Disneyland opened two years later, physical maps were both a cherished souvenir and an important part of a guest’s day. That still holds true today as we’re sure you often consult physical and app-based maps when maneuvering around Disney’s theme parks, which is why an updated map is always a big deal.
