Greetings from Main Street USA! Recently we popped into The Plaza Restaurant to see if the comfort food eats were as good as we remember. The Plaza has been a long-standing underrated favorite here at DFB. Most Magic Kingdom diners aim to eat at Be Our Guest or Cinderella’s Royal Table, but for us, the Plaza remains high on our must-dine list.
On our last visit, we were pleasantly surprised by all of the new lunch options. Let’s take a tour.
SECRET MENU ITEM ALERT! We just discovered a SECRET menu item at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor! And this top secret treat will soon become the perfect way to celebrate your birthday in the Disney Parks!
You know we LOVE a secret menu here on DFB, and we can’t wait to tell you about this one…
If you’re visiting Disneyland Park this weekend, you’re in luck! Red Rose Taverne is serving up a frozen treat that’s made for St. Patrick’s Day — and this treat’s about as fleeting as a rainbow. It’s the Enchant-Mint Chocolate Chip Milkshake!
If you thought to yourself, “Self, those look like Lucky Charms marshmallows on top of that milkshake,” then you are correct! [Read more…]

Walt Disney World offers lots of options for truly unique dining, and at 50s Prime Time Café, diners are in for a one-of-a-kind meal with ‘family’.
That’s because Prime Time Cafe is built around the classic 1950s home, with family recipes coming from the kitchen and kitschy decor everywhere.
Speaking of the classic 1950s home — something to note about this restaurant is that the waitstaff are encouraged to interact with the guests as though they’re family. This means that you can be sent to the corner or be told to sing I’m a Little Teapot in front of the whole restaurant if you put your elbows on the table or don’t finish your vegetables. It’s always fun to see Uncle Bruce singing I’m a Little Teapot, don’t get me wrong — but if that kind of interaction isn’t on the menu for YOU, you can always ask your server to tone down the antics with your table.
