It was a dreary, rainy day in the Kingdom, but that didn’t stop us from exploring all the park’s changes and updates (including a NEW set of Wishables!)!
If you follow Disney Food Blog, you’ve likely heard about all the recent closures due to Hurricane Dorian.
We previously told you that all four Disney World theme parks would reopen this morning, and now, Orlando International Airport is reopening as well.
In case you missed it, in preparation for Hurricane Dorian, Disney World announced early closures for its four theme parks for today, September 3rd. Operating hours were later extended for Epcot and Disney Springs, but all other parks were closed by 3 PM.
Now, we have some good news to share, because all four theme parks and Disney Springs will reopen tomorrow, September 4th!
Hurricane Dorian is rapidly nearing the United States and we just got word that Disney World is closing early to keep everyone safe in the storm.

The Skyliner has been prepped for the storm, Orlando International Airport planned to close (then flip flopped!), and we’ve told you about a few planned closures released by Disney a few days ago, but we’ve been waiting to see if the parks would close early for the storm. Now we know!
Hurricane season is coming up fast, and guests at Walt Disney World are looking ahead to how any potential storms might affect their trip — either with a Florida coast impact, or just a week’s worth of rain. We know there’s a lot to be concerned about when a storm is approaching — particularly if you’re not from an area that typically gets large, active systems like a hurricane.
Hurricane season in 2021 officially runs from June 1 through November 30, with the bulk of the action taking place in August through October. [Read more…]
