But that got us thinking about the hotels on Disney World property that aren’t owned by Disney — how are they celebrating? We found out firsthand that the holiday offerings over at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resorts are truly one of a kind, and we’re kinda obsessed with them!

Last night, we attended the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of the season in Magic Kingdom, and tonight, we are in Hollywood Studios for the first Jollywood Nights of 2024! This after-hours event is back for the second year! This party features specialty entertainment, snacks, character meet and greets, and generally shorter ride wait times. Let’s take a look at what the crowds and wait times are looking like this year at the very first party!

Magic Kingdom During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!
On select nights from November 8th to December 20th, the Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, it is a specially ticketed event. Those with tickets can enter the Magic Kingdom at 4 PM. The park officially closes for regular park operating hours at 6 PM, and the party kicks off at 7 PM. During the party, there is specialty entertainment like Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks. There are also holiday-themed character meet, and greets, and lines for attractions tend to be shorter since the party has a limited capacity. Of course, there are tons of party-exclusive food, but we are confused about why getting some of these treats is so complicated.
