NEWS! Disneyland Resort Hotels Not Accepting New Reservations Until September 1st

Downtown Disney has re-opened to guests so they can visit their favorite stores and restaurants in the district!

Although we’ve been happy to dine at spots like Tortilla Jo’s and shop at the World of Disney for new face masks, due to Disneyland’s delayed reopening we haven’t yet been able to visit their parks and resorts. And while reservations had originally been available for select Disneyland hotels in August, it now looks like we might have to wait a little while longer before we will be able to visit!

Select Disneyland Hotels Are Now Accepting New Reservations Starting August 1st

Last month, Disney announced its proposal to reopen Downtown Disney on July 9th, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure on July 17th, and select hotels on July 23rd.

And while Downtown Disney will be moving forward with its plans to welcome back guests starting this Thursday, the other Disneyland Resort reopenings have been delayed.

NEWS: The Opening of Tenaya Stone Spa at Disneyland’s Grand Californian Hotel Has Been Quietly Changed

Last July, the Mandara Spa location in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort closed its doors.

Now, we’re waiting patiently on its replacement. Tenaya Stone Spa was set to debut in Spring 2020, but in light of the recent closures, Disney just quietly updated the opening date to say “Coming Soon.”

REVIEW: Biscuit. French. Toast. at Disneyland Resort’s GCH Craftsman Grill (Filed Under MUST EAT)

When Disneyland Resort’s White Water Snacks was renamed GCH (that’s Grand Californian Hotel) Craftsman Grill earlier this year (read all about it here!), we hoped the quick service spot wouldn’t lose its charm or its tasty menu of eats. The verdict? The restaurant remained as charming as ever (no changes besides signage, that we can see). And the menu? Still delicious.

We enjoyed the crunchy and creative End of Summer Slaw Dog in August (read our review!), and we almost never turn down a cupcake or a donut here. This month’s WILD DOG is super awesome as well — here’s our review of that one!
