Planning a Disney trip can be challenging, but we’ll tell you this: it’s easier to plan for Disneyland than it is for Disney World.
Disneyland
Okay, why are we bringing this up? Well, NOW is a great time to go to Disneyland, especially with it being Halloween Time (which is a VERY big deal at the resort), although the holidays are a great time to visit, too. We’ll also admit the weather is SO nice this time of year (and you may even need a sweater at nights), especially if you don’t want to deal with humidity (it’s non-existent!). If you have a Disney Visa, though, you have a NEW excuse to book a Disneyland trip because you can save money RIGHT NOW.
It might still feel like summer (an extremely hot summer) outside, but in our hearts, it’s already fall.

Hey, don’t come at us. Fall brings all our favorite things like Halloween (and Halloween season is technically here), the Starbucks fall menu (pumpkin spice EVERYTHING), seasonal snacks, and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World and Oogie Boogie Bash in Disneyland. Fall is also bringing a NEW dining experience soon, and you can now make reservations for it!
Happy Lunar New Year! Yes, we know we’re a few days late, but Disney is still celebrating, and so are we!
Lunar New Year Decorations at the Grand Californian Hotel
Over in Disneyland, the Lunar New Year is a BIG deal. There’s the whole Lunar New Year Festival in Disney California Adventure plus Disney’s Grand Californian Resort got in on the Year of the Dragon celebration by putting an ENTIRE dragon inside its lobby. But you’ll also find a Lunar New Year-themed snack at the hotel, and it’s bringing a bit of heat!
NOW is the time to plan a trip to Disneyland.

Why? Well, if you’ve never been, you might be surprised at just how amazing Walt’s original park is! Also, if you love Marvel, you’ll find Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure plus Big Hero 6 fans can enjoy an entire area devoted to San Fransokyo. You might also want to see the superior version of Pirates of the Caribbean (no, really) and other classic Disney rides. Now is the time to book that trip because you can grab some great Disneyland hotel discounts, but they’re only available for a limited time.

We’ve been celebrating the occasion over at Disney California Adventure’s Lunar New Year Festival. We enjoyed a ton of wonderful foods and even met some NEW Disney characters for the very first time. We also love to see how the parks are decorated for the festival, but this year, one hotel at Disneyland Resort has gone ALL out for the Lunar New Year — and we are OBSESSED.
Disney loves theming things after the state they’re already in (we’re lookin’ at you, Disney California Adventure and the Grand Floridian Hotel).
