We’ve all seen them. You’re sitting back, fully immersed in the magic of Disney, when suddenly, people start standing up and making a beeline for the exit before the show is even over.

It’s frustrating, it’s distracting, and unfortunately, it’s happening way too often at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. These “aisle lice” are causing chaos at some of the park’s most beloved shows, and we need to talk about it.
In 2025, we’re seeing a LOT of changes to Disney World. New shows, new lounges, and saying goodbye to some of our favorite things as well.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is right there in the mix of the change as this summer two shows will be opening, Villains: Unfairly Ever After and The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure. We are also seeing the closure of Muppet’s Courtyard as we make way for the new Monsters Inc area that is coming. But, there’s a change that will happen in the upcoming months that will impact Fantasmic!
Between Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom and Luminous: The Symphony of Us at EPCOT, Walt Disney World has some of the best nighttime shows! But nothing tops Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which you can see at both Disneyland Resort and Disney World.

We’ve seen wait times creep up and crowds have come out in full force to celebrate the festivities around the parks and more. But, over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it looks like preparations are underway for even more crowds to make their way into this park and we’ve got all the details.
2025 is gearing up to be a massive year at Disney World as construction and closures are set to hit all four theme parks.

Hollywood Studios has seen its fair share of changes over the past years with the addition of Toy Story Land along with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and soon it will be home to even more new offerings, two of which are set to open in the new year! There are three game-changing updates set to hit Hollywood Studios in 2025, with a fourth update on the horizon.
Okay, so not EVERYTHING goes according to plan in Disney World.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
We’ve seen everything from ride evacuations to extended ride closures to characters having funny “oops” moments. Sometimes we even see a few funny things happen while we’re riding rides and something goes wrong. We’ll also NEVER forget plant Donald (he’s something of a legend here at DFB now). But last night, Disney’s Hollywood Studios was having some ISSUES, and we just had to share.
Fantasmic! finally made its triumphant return to Disneyland’s Rivers of America earlier this year!

After an extended closure and refurbishment, Fantasmic! returned with an updated show after a fire caused damage. The new version of the show no longer has the Maleficent dragon, but the fan-favorite Peter Pan scene returned to the Sailing Ship Columbia! If you are looking to see this show in a reserved area, then listen up because a new Fantasmic! dining package will debut next year!
Y’all. We’ve seen some things in Disney World. Sometimes they’re wonderful things, sometimes they’re terrifying things, but yeah…we’ve seen THINGS.

For example, you’ve got those wonderful Cast Member moments that just make your day that much more magical. Or there’s that moment when you see a character just living its best life. On the other side of things, it’s that one time you accidentally make eye contact with Caesar as you’re exiting Tower of Terror (if you know, you know) or find yourself in one of the creepiest parts of a park. Disney World is no stranger to AMAZING nighttime entertainment, and one of our favorite shows is Fantasmic! Now, Fantasmic! saw some changes back in 2022 that made the show even better. And since there is always a lot of demand for this show, you might have to line up WELL in advance to catch it each night.
Of course, there is a way to make getting seats for Fantasmic! easier, and that’s by purchasing a Fantasmic! Dining Package. However, some big changes are coming to the dining packages that we need to tell you about.
