We’ve been keeping up with the construction progress of Takumi-Tei, that BRAND NEW signature dining experience coming to Epcot’s Japan Pavilion this summer!
And today we spotted some extra signage pop up in front of the building that we wanted to share!
Epcot’s nighttime spectacular IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth will take to the sky for the last time on September 30th.
And as we know, to commemorate the nighttime spectacular we all grew up with, Disney has started selling Farewell IllumiNations merchandise! We’ve already shared many of the t-shirts, MagicBands, and pins with you guys. But, today we’re going to share something even MORE spectacular — the Farewell IllumiNations Light-Up EARS!!!

We have also shared Disney’s plans for the closure of Electric Umbrella this winter. But now we are going to dive into even MORE closure and relocation announcements.
As many of you may know, Epcot is undergoing a pretty HUGE transformation, and as part of that transformation, a lot of familiar locations will be getting an overhaul. And beginning September 8, the popular Character Spot will close temporarily.

Today, Disney has released information about the temporary closure of Character Spot. And now Disney has stated that Electric Umbrella is going to be shutting its doors as well.
Happy early birthday, America! All across the country, it’s time for some delicious BBQ, electrifying fireworks, and unfortunate tan lines! And at Walt Disney World, it’s time for an abundance of red, white, and blue treats, too!

It’s time to mix things that shouldn’t be mixed: electricity and umbrellas. We’re back at Epcot’s Electric Umbrella to share the new Brisket Sandwich, a kids’ flatbread option, and a cup of beer cheese. (J/K, we don’t share beer cheese.)
