Ah, can you smell the delicious booth food in the air? We can!! Because it’s the FIRST DAY of the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival, and we’re LIVE in Epcot!!

Yesterday we kicked the Festival off by sharing prices for the Food Booths thanks to menus that had popped up at several locations around the park, and today we’re back for the BEST part… to taste ALL OF THE FOOD at the Festival!

We have shared that a new booth known as Appleseed Orchard would be coming to the festival this year. But today, Disney has shared more exciting details! It seems as if Appleseed Orchard will actually have TWO different booths.

Ratatouille ride in Epcot’s France
But now we’re back to share that the opening season has been announced for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and La Crêperie de Paris, which are both coming to Epcot’s France Pavilion!
If you were worried that Epcot’s new transformation might phase out ALL of the learning opportunities of the park’s original mission, perhaps Moana can calm your fears because D23 gave us a few more details about Journey of Water — including something that sounds a little educational.

The D23 Expo was very enlightening with regard to Epcot’s on-going transformation, one that finds the beloved park in a “state of becoming” as Imagineer Zack Riddley said. One such change is the creation of the PLAY! Pavilion in what will be Epcot’s World Discovery neighborhood.

We now have a name and more details about the new nighttime show to replace Epcot Forever…which is replacing IllumiNations for a limited time…after September 30th. (So much coming to Epcot! So much to keep track of!)

After it was announced Illuminations would take its final bow Sept 30th, to be followed temporarily by Epcot Forever, we were eager to hear what the NEXT replacement would be! The new long-term IllumiNations shows that OUR kids will grow up with. Well, we still don’t know much; but we DO know the NAME!
WOW! What an insane day filled with exciting news. Some of the biggest news of the day surrounded Epcot, which is undergoing a multi-year transformation.

As we discussed earlier, Epcot will soon have FOUR neighborhoods — which you can read more about here. These will “celebrate a unique aspect of what makes Epcot so special.” These neighborhoods will be known as World Celebration, World Discovery, World Nature, and World Showcase. And get this!! One of these neighborhoods will introduce a NEW location for Epcot’s festivals!
One of the most exciting announcements at the D23 Expo today has been the reveal of a “fresh new journey” for Epcot’s Future World, a journey that will transform the Park and tap into “the magic of possibility.”
Welcome to Epcot!
Much of the original inspiration of Epcot will shine through in the new design, according to the announcement, and now we have more information on how Future World will be laid out. Get ready for three new “neighborhoods” in addition to World Showcase!
