Update: Check out Starbucks at the Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe!
According to Al Lutz at MiceAge, Disneyland’s Downtown Disney in Anaheim may see two new popular and affordable eateries soon — Starbucks and Earl of Sandwich!
After a long negotiation in which Starbucks insisted on retaining control of their management and training, coffee lovers may soon welcome this addition to Downtown Disney Anaheim.
Intended location is top secret, but speculation has the popular coffee shop moving into the east wing of the La Brea Bakery building. Another location, the spot vacated by Compass Books at the other end of the Downtown Disney strip, is also a possible site for the java stop.
has also been mentioned for both of these locations. This would be the first West Coast eatery for the restaurant famous for their delicious sandwiches.
The first location for Earl of Sandwich was Disney World, and a location opened in Disneyland Paris last year, so this addition would make sense.
By the way, speaking of Earl of Sandwich, don’t forget to sign up for their new Earl of Sandwich e-club and get a free sandwich on your birthday!
Thanks to DFB reader David Welty for the tip!

They may not be as fancy as cake or as rich as fudge, but they sure are a great compromise! Brownies are a true comfort food, and Disney has figured out several ways to make them even more special. Check out our top five Disney brownies below!
This gorgeous confection is brownie on the bottom and cheesecake on the top. A perfect mixture of “classy” and “comfort!” Find this one at the Boardwalk Bakery in Disney World’s Boardwalk Inn.
Found at Earl of Sandwich, the brownie-frosting sandwich is pretty true to its name. Two of Earl’s incredible, chocolate-chip packed brownies sandwich some incredible buttercream frosting. You’ll definitely need to share this one!

Watch Me Eat heads to Earl of Sandwich in Disney World’s Downtown Disney!

One of Disney World’s most beloved counter service restaurants isn’t actually a Disney restaurant at all — it’s part of a chain of sandwich shops called Earl of Sandwich! We still love it, though, and couldn’t wait to highlight it here on the blog.
Atmosphere
Located in Downtown Disney’s Marketplace, Earl of Sandwich is a restaurant wrapped up in a history lesson. As the story goes, John Montague, the 4th Earl of Sandwich in England, invented the sandwich as an easy, eat-on-the-run (or while playing cards) meal. Today, the 11th Earl of Sandwich and his family have taken the name to new heights by developing Earl of Sandwich stores and selling high-quality, delicious sandwich varieties along with fresh [Read more…]

This one is going to be hard to top. It might be my favorite “You Won’t Believe This!” Snack to date.
I was knocked off my rocker when I tried this Brownie-Frosting Sandwich today. There’s no other name for it. Earl of Sandwich calls it “The Earl’s Brownie Creme,” but, in my book, it’s a big ol’ Brownie-Frosting Sandwich.
Here’s the basic construction: a huge, circular, rich brownie was cut in half and filled with the most delicious frosting imaginable. First, let’s discuss the brownie: This was the closest thing to home made I’ve ever seen in a Disney baked good. It looked, smelled, and tasted [Read more…]
