Swan and Dolphin Hotel
We’re talking about the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, located in the EPCOT Resort area. These hotels get many of the same perks as staying at a Disney World Deluxe Resort, but they’re typically a little bit cheaper because they’re owned by Marriott instead of Disney. If you’re planning to stay there soon, you should know that the Dolphin Hotel just made some big announcements!

EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival started in late August and will continue through November 23rd, but did you know there’s another Food and Wine event in Disney World? Over at the Swan and Dolphin Resorts on Disney World property, you can find the Food & Wine Classic. This is a 2-day event, and we got a sneak peek before it starts!
If you’ve yet to visit the Disney World hotels you’re considering for your next trip, how do you know you’re making the right decision for you and your family? Think about it for a moment. Comparing hotels solely by a short online description and a few stock photos can make you feel like you’ve made the right choice based on a smidge of idyllic information provided, but that scenario has led to a disaster of a time over and over again. Well, Todd English’s bluezoo located in the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort is one of those signature restaurants that is well-known and highly acclaimed for its seafood and innovative menu items. This spot isn’t known for cheap eats, but don’t let that stop you because we found a way for you to eat here and not break the bank!
There are so many restaurants around Disney World that it can be a challenge to decide where to eat.
The Dolphin
While some restaurants are so iconic they can be tough to get reservations for, there are gems hidden around Disney World that you might not even realize are worth checking out. The Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort is home to some of our favorite dining experiences, from the Food and Wine Classic to restaurants like Todd English’s bluezoo and Rosa Mexicano, but you have to leave the parks to try them. Just outside of EPCOT — inside the Dolphin — The Fountain is an unassuming spot with classic American fare like milkshakes and burgers. According to History.com, the holiday “celebrates the date of the Mexican army’s May 5, 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War.” While it is “relatively minor” in terms of holidays over in Mexico, in the United States it has become a day to celebrate Mexican culture and heritage. One of the newest hotels to join the ranks is the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve. It is located in the same area as the Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and when it opened, it brought with it some new dining options, including Amare, the signature restaurant of the hotel. Today, we’re giving it a try!

We stopped by this past weekend to experience the Food & Wine Classic: A Taste of Swan and Dolphin. And coming up on April 17th is another foodie event — the Spring Food & Wine Classic. The event will feature 12 food stations, over 50 beverage options, entertainment, and more!
