Are y’all ready for all the news from Disney’s Hollywood Studios?
It’s Spring Break time so we’ve been experiencing tons of crowds, LOTS of new merchandise, and a new photo opportunity! Check out all the news here!
It’s never a dull week in Disney World!
This week we’ve learned about mysterious patents, big ride queue changes, and there was even a power outage! Let’s get right into all the unexpected Disney World news this week.
Every once in a while, something may be missing, closed, or out of place around Disney World. This can happen for a number of reasons, such as scheduled maintenance or unexpected downtime. While we commonly think about major rides closing (like the extended closure we’re seeing right now over at Expedition Everest), you may notice smaller changes too on your vacation!
On a recent trip to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, we noticed something (or rather…someone) wasn’t where they were supposed to be!
We love visiting Batuu at Disney’s Hollywood Studios if only to see what cool new Star Wars merchandise ends up there.
Star Wars plushes!
And we’ve seen some VERY cool stuff, including Chewbacca socks, a Droid Depot backpack, and some pretty sweet lightsabers! But today, we spotted some brand new items that you might just want to give a big hug!
Did you know you didn’t even have to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to get the full Batuu experience?
You can visit Batuu from home in VR!
You can actually visit Batuu and explore it further in the Star Wars: Tales From The Galaxy’s Edge virtual reality game! The game puts players in the role of a droid repair technician who has crash-landed on the planet. It expands the story of Black Spire Outpost with new characters and locations.
If you’re trying to live out your own Star Wars story in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge or from the comfort of your own home, then you’ll probably want a lightsaber of your very own.
One spot in Galaxy’s Edge will soon carry some very special lightsabers that are the first of their kind. Fans of Ahsoka Tano and Star Wars: The Clone Wars: you’ll definitely want to check this out.
Welcome back, members of the Jedi (or the Sith). We’re here with another What’s New at Hollywood Studios!
We’ve got plenty of merchandise, food, and entertainment updates to share with you, so let’s jump into hyperspace and dive into this What’s New!
Today is the day! Rise of Skywalker is officially in theatres, so go out and fill your eyeballs with all the Force-y, Sith-y goodness!
But if you want to really get down with the new films, you can swing by Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to check out the 2 NEW lightsabers from the new film released TODAY!
Whenever a new land opens at Walt Disney World, the hype is always extremely real. But we all know that like anything else, that excitement can flicker out pretty quickly (AKA any YA novel fandom).
The question is: how do you test if a land is a hit in Disney after it opens? It’s not only its initial popularity that keeps it high on the list but the continual visits from guests, how long the wait times are, and even what’s inside the land itself (still not over the Viewmaster slides in Toy Story Land tbh). And the differences between Pandora’s opening in 2017 and Galaxy’s Edge’s opening this year seem to show — at least anecdotally — that the two don’t stack up very similarly in terms of overall popularity.
Curious as to what you’ll find when you step inside Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities in Black Spire Outpost?
Then join us as we explore the artifacts, relics, ancient tools, and more that are tucked into each and every corner and crevice of Dok-Ondar’s Den in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! [Read more…]
