Why? Because the Kitchen Sink Sundae lives up to its name — it literally has EVERYTHING IN IT. But more importantly, when someone orders it, it comes with its own celebration — we’re talking about a siren and a loud announcement. However, when Beaches & Cream reopened after Disney World’s closure, ordering the Kitchen Sink Sundae only came with the sundae. Today something changed, so read on to find out more!

From the reopening of Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts and the return of (modified) character meet and greets, Disney World is continuing to return to normal.

Disney World has made changes to its hotels over the past several years. Disney debuted newly re-themed Moana guest rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, but there’s also been quite a lot going on at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

Back in 2021, the hotel debuted a newly refurbished lobby area with Mary Blair-inspired designs along with the new restaurant, Steakhouse 71. The resort’s rooms have also been re-themed to Pixar’s The Incredibles and now we’re sharing a FULL tour of one of these updated rooms with you!
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — both the French Quarter and Riverside sides — are set to reopen in just a few weeks!

Reservations for these spots are also already open. Guests staying at Disney World’s resort hotels and Annual Passholders sometimes have the ability to buy some MagicBand designs early or at a special discount. Not only is October 1st the first day of Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration, but it will also mark the beginning of Early Theme Park Entry, the opening of Steakhouse 71, and even the first day Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be available to the public. If you have a park reservation for October 1st or later, you can now see the Early Theme Park Entry times, and here’s how!
