Hello from the Food and Wine Festival!
Ever look at someone and think to yourself, “What’s their story?” We know we’re not the only ones; Disney made a whole movie dedicated to what goes on inside our heads!
Ever wondered, “What is going on inside their head?”
During a recent trip to EPCOT, we passed by a teeeeny tiny little village full of people with all sorts of backstories and lives we can only view from a giant’s perspective. If you’re in the mood for a laugh on this fine afternoon, you’ve come to the right place.
Well, we survived the first day of the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival.
2023 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival
We managed to eat ALL the food, and even made our way through Emile’s Montage Fromage (the cheese crawl). We chased a rat all over EPCOT for a scavenger hunt and enjoyed a concert and a special Spaceship Earth lighting show at the end of the evening. Well, we went back to EPCOT on the first Saturday of the festival (July 29th), and well, we’re going to warn you to NEVER do that.

Yes, we will hug Mickey EVERY chance we can get. We also love seeing his friends, like Donald and Daisy. We love seeing characters wandering around the parks, too. Now, though, it seems like two NEW characters may be headed to the Disney parks soon, and we can’t wait!

EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival has begun, Fantasmic! is returning to Disneyland, Magic Kingdom is getting a “search and sniff adventure” – yeah, we’ve got questions too – and LOADS of new snacks are headed to the parks. Let’s get you caught up on ALL the Disney news from the week.

Sometimes, our day at Disney World can feel like one wild ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. One moment, we’re climbing up the hill on our way to our favorite attraction, the next, the train is flying off the rails, and our plans are totally derailed. You never know what may happen!

Ready for a little storytime? Well, on the opening day of the 2023 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, we arrived at EPCOT bright and early, ready to take on the day. One of our first stops? The Creations Shop, obviously. Gotta grab that merch before it sells out, right?
We love that so many of the Disney parks are bringing back their After Hours events. They’re tons of fun!

These are such a fun way to experience the parks at a lower capacity and feel special running (not literally) around the parks at night. But that means these events are super popular, and if you’re looking to experience EPCOT’s After Hours event, time is running out to book your spot!
Do you hear that? Is that the faint sound of ba-la-la-la-la we hear in the distance? That can only mean one thing; Disney’s NEW Big Hero 6 land, officially known as San Fransokyo Square at Disney California Adventure, is one step closer to opening! So far, we’ve seen some areas start to open ahead of the official grand opening, like The Lucky Fortune Cookery. We even got the chance to try some of the NEW menu items!

Now we’re back at Disney California Adventure to check in on the progress! San Fransokyo Square is set to officially open on August 31, 2023, in Disneyland Resort, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start celebrating a little early!
