food IS a theme park
Hold up, EPCOT fans! Disney just dropped a new experience, and you’re going to want to hear all about it.
If you’re a lover of fireworks, fancy drinks, and exclusive eats, we found the ultimate event for you.
We’re aboard the brand-new Disney Treasure cruise ship and taking you along as we discover all of its secrets!
We were invited by Disney to check out the Disney Treasure (the Disney Cruise Line’s latest addition to its fleet) in New York City ahead of its scheduled maiden voyage on December 21st, 2024. Home to several different experiences and themed restaurants, one of the things we were most excited to see on the Disney Treasure was the Haunted Mansion Parlor, a Haunted Mansion-themed lounge that is sure to delight fans of the iconic Disney attraction. While checking out this sure-to-be-popular lounge, we got a first look at some of its offerings, including a secret menu!
We’re willing to bet you’re walking right past one of the best parts of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and you’re not even realizing it!
Tune-In Lounge
We’re on a mission to tell you about some of the grossly underrated Disney World lounges in the parks AND hotels, and we’re telling you, it doesn’t get much more immersive than this one!
We spent an evening at one of the least talked about Disney World lounges — and it didn’t disappoint!
Barcelona Lounge is calling you over.
It’s no secret that here at DFB we often prefer to dine at the lounges inside Disney World hotels and parks instead of their proper restaurants, and sometimes that rings even more true when there’s incredible food and stunning views involved. So when we got the chance to come out to one of the most luxurious moderate hotels in all of Disney World, we thought it was an offer too good to pass up!
Raise a glass! The Disney Dining Plan is finally BACK. We’ve been counting down the days for MONTHS, researching the pros and cons, and answering your biggest questions. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. First, you need some context.
Full Spread at Yak and Yeti
The Disney Dining Plan is an optional vacation add-on that essentially allows Disney World hotel guests to pre-pay for their meals in exchange for Dining Plan credits. Then, once you’re in Disney World, all you have to do is enjoy your meal and apply those Dining Plan credits to your meal (as long as the restaurant accepts the Disney Dining Plan, that is). This option was unavailable for several years, but as of January 9th, 2024, it’s finally BACK, with a few changes.
Ok, we think we’ve found a solid choice for a lounge or pool bar when choosing your next Disney hotel stay WITHOUT costing you a fortune!
The whole band is back together!
We’ve visited several lounge and pool bars around Disney World lately with some being clear winners with returning fan-favorite menu items but most of the time these have been at some of the most expensive Disney World hotels. So where do you choose to stay (and eat) if you’re looking to stick to a budget and are traveling with kids that really would prefer more pool time over spending hours in the Disney World parks? We think we’ve found a great compromise for you! [Read more…]
We’ve reviewed lots of good lounges around Disney World lately, but we’re not sure that any of them will be able to compare to THIS meal!
Full meal
Disney’s really thrown us curveballs lately with their new fast food bread service and snacks better than grandma made them, but when we heard that a beloved menu item was returning to Crew’s Cup Lounge, we HAD to go out and see if it was just as good as it once was! [Read more…]
Did you know that some offerings still haven’t returned to Disney World after the 2020 park closures? We’ve welcomed back several restaurants and experiences, so what’s still left?
This month, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and the Harmony Barber Shop will be returning to Magic Kingdom, and more character meet and greets are coming back as well. Today, we got a FIRST LOOK at a reopening lounge in Disney World — but this spot looks a little bit different than it did before. Maybe it has something to do with a villainous TAKEOVER?
Disney World is full of amazing restaurants!
Some of those amazing restaurants are incredibly popular, like Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. We can’t blame people for wanting to dine there — the theming is unlike any other dining location around! And if you’re a big fan of Be Our Guest, then today we have another recommendation to add to your list.
It’s an exciting time when we get to reunite with our favorite Disney World restaurants.
Animal Kingdom Lodge
We already spent the morning at a reopened Boma in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge (and we’ll be back for dinner at the first buffet to reopen in Disney World). Now, though, we’re visiting ANOTHER relaxing spot at this resort that just returned today!
