We found a bunch of changes in Animal Kingdom when we were there visiting. Check out what we found on our culinary safari of Disney’s Animal Kingdom this week!
We’ll start our tour out where we always to – on Discovery Island.
The Animal Kingdom called out to us and we had to visit this week! We found so many new food items AND new merch that we had to make our regular “What’s New” into two posts! We’re tackling food first, of course!
(this park’s Starbucks location) is offering a new Strawberry Cake Pop that we think is smiling at us! It’s really delicious if you’re a strawberry fan!
Good news for coffee lovers out there who don’t want to stand in a Starbucks line for a cup of regular brewed coffee – the hot dog cart located near Pizzafari and Tiffins now has coffee available starting at park open and is typically available until around 1pm.
Nomad Lounge has some new menu items available – and these are included on their allergy-friendly menu. Items include:
The chefs at Tiffins have been busy! There is a new lunch tasting menu as well as other new items on their menu including Peaches and Cream appetizer, Crispy Corn Cake entree, and a Tiffins Dessert Trio. The Lunch Tasting Menu is served from 11:30 – 3:30 and is $35.00 per person. It includes choice of one appetizer and one entree OR choice of one entree and one dessert.

This Funfetti Donut Cake Pop at Creature Comforts is super fun! And since it’s shaped like a donut, that makes this cake pop breakfast-approved, right? You can find these at all the Starbucks in Disney World for a limited time.

Disney World Starbucks locations will be operating on limited hours today — May 29, 2018 — to take part in mandatory company-wide training by Starbucks.
The Disney World in-park locations — Magic Kingdom’s Main Street Bakery, Epcot’s Fountain View, Animal Kingdom’s Creature Comforts, and Trolley Car Cafe in Hollywood Studios — will all be closed from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm EST, as reflected on the screenshot above. [Read more…]

Are you and Mom spending Mother’s Day together in The Most Magical Place on Earth (Disney World) OR The Happiest Place on Earth (Disneyland)? Well, in addition to the Disney World Brunch options we’ve shared with you previously, we’ve got even more options to add, including specialty snacks and additional Brunches in Disney World, AND special meal options in Disneyland!
Sunshine Seasons will serve a Mother’s Day Dessert with raspberry mousse and lemon cake topped with a Swiss buttercream rose and fondant pearls on Mother’s Day.
But if you’re at Epcot a bit earlier, find a vanilla Mother’s Day Cupcake with raspberry white chocolate mousse and pink icing at Fountain View from May 11 – 13.
In Animal Kingdom, stop by Creature Comforts and Isle of Java for a vanilla Mother’s Day Cupcake filled with white chocolate raspberry mousse and topped with buttercream flowers.
Disney World’s Animal Kingdom opened on April, 22, 1998…
… and we’ve all been having a WILD time ever since!

This coming Sunday, April 22, 2018, marks the 20th Anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
The celebration is also the kickoff of the park’s annual Party for the Planet, which will expand to run for two weeks this year (through May 5th) to recognize the milestone anniversary.
And what’s a party without CAKE? Or cupcakes, more specifically, if you’re in Disney World! Look for Earth Day Cupcakes and Tree of Life Cupcakes at counter service locations like Creature Comforts, Pizzafari, Flame Tree Barbecue, and Restaurantosaurus.
We’ve already taken you on a tour of the gorgeous Chocolate Easter Egg display at the Grand Floridian this year.
But there is no shortage of Easter fun and food happening around Disney World over the next several days, so let’s HOP to it!
The Grand Floridian display will be available for guests to view through April 9th. (And if your spring break plans don’t include a trip down to Disney World, you can see the whole thing here!)
Your pals at the DFB are back with What’s New, and this week we’re back at Animal Kingdom and the All-Star Resorts! We’ve got menu changes (Satu’li!!), new merchandise, and a couple new activities to share. Let’s gooooooo!
Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day, or Any-Excuse-To-Have-Some-Chocolate Day, there will be treats galore for you if you’re spending this week in Walt Disney World or Disneyland!
In Magic Kingdom, stop by Main Street Bakery to find the Mickey Cinnamon Roll with a special heart decoration.
The Milkshake of the Month at The Plaza Restaurant is a Strawberry and Chocolate Milkshake topped with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, a strawberry and chocolate shavings. (P.S. It’s BOTTOMLESS!!)
And if your idea of romance is inspired by Pecos Bill and Slue-Foot Sue, then mosey over yonder into Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe and order up some hand-dipped white and dark chocolate strawberries.
