Disney World’s wait times dropped across the board this week, with pretty much every major attraction — including TRON Lightcycle / Run — seeing their wait times decrease considerably.

Disney World’s stabilized this week after shooting up last week… with ONE major exception. TRON Lightcycle / Run continues to dominate the resort’s wait times since the standby line was introduced to the attraction. This week, the ride’s wait time was over 80 minutes, cleaning the rest of the resort’s rides by over 10 minutes.

Disney World wait times rebounded in a HUGE way this week after a few weeks of surprising lows. The jump was spearheaded by a big bump in the wait times for Flight of Passage, TRON Lightcycle / Run’s first full week with a standby queue, and a busier-than-average week at Hollywood Studios.

Disney World wait times have been pretty low lately. Of course, even during this slower time of year, some of Disney’s popular attractions still reported wait times close to 60 minutes. Nevertheless, wait times, perhaps impacted by Lighting Lane Multi Pass, remained low overall.

On Sunday, September 9th, Peter Renaday passed away at the age of 89. He had a remarkable career and will be remembered for his work and talent.

Disney World saw something VERY RARE this week. Flight of Passage did NOT have the highest average wait time at the resort, that title instead went to Slinky Dog Dash. Meanwhile, Jungle Cruise closed for refurbishment and the Lighting Lane Multi Pass continued to impact the resort.
Disney World is constantly changing, and there are so many exciting new projects on the horizon!

Sometimes, attractions, rides, shops, and restaurants close to make way for new offerings, or they end up sitting abandoned. So much has happened this year at Disney World. We found out that eight new attractions will be making their way to Disney World over the next few years and also found out that certain areas, like Tom Sawyer Island, will close to make way for some of these new additions to the park. While we are still waiting for confirmation on when other areas of the parks will close, we have a list of 11 things that we permanently lost at Disney World this year.
