Major Price INCREASE Hits Chef Mickey’s in Disney World
Disney World is still not entirely back to its pre-pandemic self, but little by little the place we know and love is returning to its former glory.
Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort was a popular dining spot for families because of their buffet service and fun character dining. When the parks re-opened in 2020, both of those aspects were removed. Both the characters and buffet have RETURNED, but a major price increase has now hit the restaurant.
Controversial Dining Change Made at Chef Mickey’s in Disney World
It’s been almost three years since Disney World’s historic COVID-19-related closure and reopening, but things are still slowly getting back to “normal” at the resort.
Within the last few months, we’ve seen more character experiences return to the parks, we’ve seen the reopening of restaurants, and we’ve seen the return of some experiences that had been gone for years. Buffets have also come back to many restaurants. And as of March 1st, that includes Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, so let’s head over there and check it out!
The 5 Best Things to Do in Disney World in March

2023 is going to be a busy year in general, but with changes happening for Genie+, a new restaurant opening, and the start of another EPCOT festival, March is the TIME to be in Disney World. (Unless you really want to avoid the crowds, because you know they’ll be hefty this month for Spring Break!) So if you’re visiting soon, what are the best things to do? Here’s our list!
2 BIG Changes Coming to Disney World Restaurants This Week!
It’s been nearly three years since Disney World’s historic closure and reopening, but we’re finally starting to see the parks returning to more normal operations.
When it comes to character dining experiences, we’ve seen the reopening of Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in EPCOT, as well as buffets returning to both Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom and Tusker House Restaurant in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Next week, two more character dining restaurants will return to their pre-closure experiences.
Disney World Buffets Ranked From BEST to WORST
When it comes to buffets, your experience can either be really good, or really bad. Usually, there’s no in between. Whether you can’t get over how amazing the food was, or you can’t get over how bad the stomach ache was, there’s a lot of talk about buffets — especially at Disney!
The good thing about Disney buffets is that some of them actually rank pretty high in our list of favorite restaurants at Disney in general! Yes, they’re that good! To save you some time (and some disappointment) we decided to rank every buffet in Disney World!
