Hello from Magic Kingdom! We’re wandering around this wonderful world that’s all decked out for Halloween and having a blast!
It doesn’t seem that long ago when we were here last (it wasn’t), but we still have a lot of updates! So let’s get to it!
A lot of things are happening at Tokyo Disneyland Resort right now! Not only did Tokyo Disneyland recently resume nighttime fireworks and parades, but a new Beauty and the Beast attraction is set to open soon, too!
But another theme park activity is about to make a comeback at Tokyo Disneyland Resort: character meet-and-greets!
It’s almost fall, y’all! But more importantly, it’s Halloweentime in the Disney Parks! Sure, our beloved Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is canceled at Walt Disney World this year, but that doesn’t mean Disney isn’t offering other ways to celebrate.
We’ve already seen a sneak peek at what Walt Disney World has planned for its spooky season activities. But what about the other parks? What creepy wonderfulness have they cooked up for Halloween?
We’ve been coming up with games to stay entertained and so far we’ve figured out what your favorite snacks, attractions, and movies are!
What we REALLY want to know right now is WHO your favorite Disney park characters are!
Disney World now requires all Cast Members and guests over the age of two to wear face masks inside the parks — but we’ve noticed that there are some folks in the parks who aren’t wearing them! Face characters!
While character meet-and-greets and character dining are currently suspended (with the exception of modified character dining experiences at Topolino’s Terrace and Garden Grill), guests are still able to spot and interact with characters in the reopened Disney World parks. Characters have been greeting guests from a distance in the form of short, unscheduled cavalcades, motorcades, and pop-up appearances.
We’re back at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to check out all the updated rides, merchandise, and dining!
Hollywood Studios has gotten creative with the way they are handling character entertainment since reopening! To keep their distance, characters have been riding around the park in specially themed cars. Today, the Disney Junior Play & Dance Party show at Hollywood Studios reopened, but it looks a little different. [Read more…]
After such a long time apart, it’s been a…JOY!…to see our favorite Disney characters back in the parks!
Whether it’s character cavalcades in Magic Kingdom, Chip and Dale on boats at Animal Kingdom, or waving at stormtroopers before you ride Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run in Hollywood Studios — seeing our old friends back in the parks has been a true silver lining! Recently, we saw two of our very favorites — Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland — are BACK greeting guests in EPCOT in a whole new way and we couldn’t wait to say hello!
We took the time to stop and smell the roses at EPCOT’S Cast Member Previews and noticed something joyous on our way!
Disney has been getting creative with character meet and greets lately. We’ve seen Timon and Rafiki on a riverboat in Animal Kingdom and Gaston riding a real horse in Magic Kingdom. NOTHING beats the cheerful meeting we encountered today! [Read more…]
Yesterday we had our first experience watching Disney World’s new Character Cavalcades roll by at Magic Kingdom!
Instead of character greetings, parades, and fireworks shows (which have been temporarily put on hold), guests can enjoy these smaller processionals which are featured randomly throughout the day. That way, folks will still have the opportunity to interact and snap of few pics of their favorite Disney friends — but from afar!
Before Disney World reopened, they told us parades and character greetings weren’t going to happen right away and would return at a later date. But fret NOT! We gotta say — things are interesting at Magic Kingdom with these new Character Cavalcades they’ve replaced their normal entertainment offerings with instead!
We’ve probably seen just as many Disney characters today with these new experiences than we would on an ordinary day at Magic Kingdom — we might have even seen more! We also saw something else pretty interesting!
